Dragon’s Dogma 2features a massive world full of NPCs in towns and the wild. Most of these NPCs come with fixed tasks or roles, such as vendors, quest givers, and rare item merchants, and there are a few who guard entries in various regions of the game’s map.
Exploring the southwest section of the game’s map will reveal a fortified wall that separates the grassy region of Vermund from Bakbattahl. This fortified wall has a chamber gate guarded by two NPCs from both sides who only allow passing if you have the permit. This guide explains crossing this gate and unlocking the I’m In achievement or trophy.
How To Unlock The I’m In Achievement/Trophy
Tounlock the “I’m In” achievement or trophy, you must cross the chamber gate found in the south to Checkpoint Rest Town.
If you want to cross the gatewithout an official permit, you must wait for an Oxcart to reach it. Certain NPCs accompany all Oxcarts, and the chamber gate opens automatically when they approach it.
When you see both gates go all the way up and the Oxcart starts moving through the chamber gate, you must make haste and cross the border immediately.
Once youcross from one side of the border to another, this action willunlock the “I’m In” achievement or trophyin the game.
How To Reach Chamber Gate At The Border
You canreach Checkpoint Rest Town easily by taking an Oxcart from the west side of Vernworthfor a meager 100 or 200 Gold, and the rider will fast-travel you here, provided you are not attacked during the journey. After reaching the town, take a left and start running till you see a way going up.
This path leads you to a chamber gate guarded by a beastren NPC. Whenever youget closer to the gate, theNPC will trigger a conversation asking for a permitto cross the chamber gate. You will not have a permit if you have not reached here by following a certain main quest.
The guarding NPC will open the gate if you provide the permit. However,showing the permit to cross the borderfrom Vermund to Bakbattahl or from Bakbattahl to Vermundwill not unlock the trophy. You mustuse the illegal methodmentioned above toget the said achievement or trophyin the game.
