TheBile TitaninHelldivers 2are immense, powerful insects that dominate the battlefield both in size, and the absolutely massive amount of acid they spew out onto Helldivers. These big, bad bugs are the strongest Terminid of them all, and Super Earth itself says they can wipe out an entire platoon.

You and your fellow Helldivers are going to have to fight them, but you’ve only got four Helldivers in a squad, and limited time on each planet-side mission. You’ll have to be strong, fast, well-prepared, and ready to die if you want to take down Bile Titans, and continue spreading democracy.

How To Encounter Bile Titans

Bile Titans are one of thetoughest Terminid enemiesin the game, and you’ll find them in thegold-colored Terminid-controlled zoneson theeastern side of the Galaxy Mapon your ship.

Theybegin showing up at Challenging difficultywith some oftheir solo-threat missions, and you’llfind even more of them as you increase the difficultyhigher, and see them assemiregular enemies.

Long-range acid spit and close-range stomp

Yes

When handling Bile Titans, you’ll want tostay at a far distance awayfrom them. Like the smaller Bile Spewers enemies, Bile Titan’sprimary attack is a long-range acid attackthat can cut through even the heavy armors available in seconds.

It’s alsojust as fast as any other Terminidoutside the Charger, anddoesn’t hesitate to push forward and start attacking, unlike the Brood Commanders.

You canuse the environment to your advantagewith Bile Titans byhiding behind large rocksand other non-destructible buildings toavoid its acid spew.

Use Heavy Support Weapons

You’llwant to useheavy support weaponsfor yourprimary way of damaging Bile Titans, so you canget through its armor quicker, such as theAutocannon,Railgun, andSpear.

These support weapons will give yousome of the best armor penetrationwhen facing the Bile Titan, but if you’re at lower levelsanddon’t have them unlocked, you can alsomake due with theAPW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle, which stilloffers decent armor penetration.

TheSpear and Recoilless Rifle, which also offer better armor penetration, need two Helldivers to be used most effectively.

Aim For Weak Spots

Like some of the other, more armored Terminids, theBile Titan’s bright green underside is a weak spot, so aim for it with heavy support weapons.

If youaren’t at a good anglefor the underside, aim for the face and attempt to break the armor offthere for another weak spot. You’llknow if you’ve broken the facial armorif you see exposedorange skin around the mouth.

Best Attack Strategy

One of the safest methodsfor battling the Bile Titan is forone person, preferably in Light armorfor thebest speed and stamina regeneration, to run around and draw the Bile Titan’s aggro.

Thisgives you or the other Helldiversa betterchance to shoot at the Bile Titanwithout being attacked as often, but youmay need to swap rolls at timesif the Bile Titan comes after someone else.

Bile Titans thatend up getting close to a Helldiverwill also beless likely to use their bile attack, and instead opt for the close-range melee, so it’ll give you a little more room to deal with the Bile Spewersthat frequently accompany them.

The Gatling Sentry, Guard Dog “Rover”, and X do agreat job of repelling other Terminids, so you canfocus on the Bile Titan itself.

Best Stratagems

You’ll also want tohit the Bile Titanhard and fastwith your stratagems. It’sextremely susceptibletoboth Orbital and Eagle Strikesas long as you’re careful with placement, but there’s ahandful that stand-out for killing the Bile Titan.

Striking the Bile Titan in the headwith any stratagem, including the Orbital Precision Strike, can kill it instantly.
