Now that you’ve started freeing towns in Elheim, the elf kingdom inUnicorn Overlord, you may head to the capital to rescue Eltolinde, Rosalinde’s captured sister. Of course, by this point, you won’t be surprised to see her under Zenoiran control and looking to fight you.
While the elves' capital, Castle Laurhal, has a bunch of fancy methods for keeping out invaders, it’s not anything as dangerous as the catapults and ballista from other maps. Instead, you’ll have to plan carefully to grab all the key points on the map and take out Eltolinde before time runs out.

Eltolinde
This isa classic gimmick fight. Once you understand what’s going on, you have the whole thing figured out.
There arefour enemy points you need to captureto unlock the path to the main enemy Command Post and win the fight, and each one you capture activates a bridge, allowing you to proceed.
Meanwhile, there’sonly one instance of scripted reinforcementsand plenty of campsites for you to use along the way, so there’s nothing too surprising.

His good attack power is well suited to the enemies on this stage

Warrior/Breaker
There are a lot of Great Knights on this map that need to be dealt with and magic users are not otherwise super helpful.

Gryphon Knight/Feathersword/Wyvern Knights
Flying units don’t have to worry about the lack of bridges and can help you claim the center island more quickly.
Hodrick
Hoplite/Legionnaire
Your command post is going to be constantly under attack, so leaving Hodrick there will be very helpful.
Rolf/Madrin
Ranger/Sniper
These will help with enemy Gryphon Knights stationed throughout the map and can make use of Watchtowers.
Ithillion can be recruited in the Elven Knight quest just before this one. Complete it first, as he’s an incredibly strong unit that can bolster your ranks and supports flying units very well.
By this point,most, if not all, of your unitsshould be promotedto keep up with enemies. Thankfully, there’sa handy sigilnearby to grind Renown.
Best Strategy For O’er Wood And Water
To beat this map, you have totake all the command pointsandhead toward the centerto defeat Eltolinde. The quickest way to do this is a three-pronged attack.
Send a warrior to take out the armored infantryguarding the bridge to the left, then the arbalist supporting them.Have your archer follow behindto help deal with theGryphon Knight guarding the Northwest.
Send yourflying units to the center islandto clear out the enemies there, keeping special mind of theSorcerer on the watchtower who likes to spam Blaze. The unit guarding the command point is a Dark Knight and thus vulnerable to Gryphon and Wyvern Knights.
Once one of your units arrives at the center island, anArmored Infantry unit will appear just South of your Command Postand march towards it. More will keep spawning until the end of the battle, so station a Hoplite with a warrior in the unit on your post and leave them there.
Finally,send whoever you use as your strongest attacking unit, such as Alain, to the rightto take out the sorcerer in the Southeast. After they’ve claimed the spot, they cankeep going northand take out the other sorcerer. Park them at that command point until the barrier is lowered.
If you need to gain Valor Points quicker, bothAlain and Gilbert get more points when defeating an enemy, thanks to their leader skills.
Once all four spots have been claimed, a cutscene will play, andEltolinde’s unit will come out with two armored infantry units, but they’re not too tough.
Simplyhave the unit you sent to the Northeast continue on to take them out, and the fight will be over.
How To Recruit Eltolinde
Eltolindewill automatically join your partyafter you complete this fight. She’s an Elven Sybil, which is the same class as Rosalinde and excels atdealing magick damage and supporting allies.
