Gone fishing! A personal favorite among theOld School RuneScapeplayer base, the Fishing skill gives players the chance to kick their feet up at a dock, toss out their fishing line, and catch fish of every shape and size! While Fishing is a relaxing skill to train, there are also plenty of click-intensive methods that reward high amounts of Fishing exp/hr.
Training all the way to 99 Fishing takes a bit longer than most other skills. Despite the fast training methods, the grind to maxing out any skill takes a lot of dedication from you to accomplish. But once you reach the maximum level, you’re able to proudly show it off with the Fishing Skillcape!

Early Fishing (Levels 1-40)
When starting with Fishing, you are limited to catching things likeShrimpandAnchovieswith a Small Fishing Net. Themost common spotsto catch them are off the shores ofLumbridge Swamp and Draynor Village.
There are other forms of low-level Fishing that you can do to earn decent experience rates, such ascatching Lobsters, Tuna, or Swordfish. However, it is much more effective to do methods likeTemporossorBarbarian Fishingwhen you can.

It should not take much time to reach 20 Fishing, but if you don’t feel like going through the early-game grind, there are afew other things to consider.
Completing Quests That Earn Fishing Experience
