If you’ve started playing a pirate game likeSkull And Bones, you most likely can’t wait to attack other factions and get free items in return. While you can start sinking their ships from the very start, it takes some time to be strong enough to plunder their bases in the game.
While sailing past any shore, you may use your spyglass to see the level and resources of a certain settlement, and if you like what you see, you can get it all for free by plundering them without mercy.
How To Plunder An Enemy Settlement
Out of everything you can find on the shores of Skull And Bones, there are essentially three types of enemy bases that you can plunder:
You can check the enemy base’s level byusing your spyglassbefore you start the plunder.
It’s recommended to have yourship at least two levels higherthan the base before you attack it.
Settlements are usually the best place to find small amounts of various resources, while Lumberyards and Foundries can beplundered to get a specific wood or metal processed by the respective faction. Finally, military bases can be attacked to get a bunch of specialized items that you can sell for a high price.
Once you’ve scouted a base you want to attack, you can start plundering it by getting close and holding the key shown on your screen. As soon as you press the button, the faction will get hostile towards you andall the ships and towers from that faction nearby will start attacking. Make sure you time the plunder well enough to not get bombarded instantly.
Once the plunder starts, you can see the amount of enemy ships and towers present in the area at the top. You’ll have todefeat all of them before you can start getting items. As the plunder goes on, enemies will call upon numerous ships as reinforcements depending on your hostility level and the level of the base you’re attacking.
When all the enemies within the radius are defeated, you’ll see agolden bar at the top with a bunch of chest icons in between. As the bar reaches a chest mark, you’ll get some resources in a small boat near the settlement. The plundering will be considered successful once the bar is complete and you’ve acquired the final reward.
The base enters a recovery period after getting plundered, andyou can’t attack it again during this.
However, if you want to get more of their resources, you can justleave the server and enter a different one.
How To Prepare For A Plunder
Plundering an enemy base is much longer and more dangerous than sinking one of their ships. In this process, you’ll have tobattle multiple ships while also hitting their towers. It can get quite overwhelming to deal with all of this by yourself, so it’s recommended to try this in co-op, especially if the target is on the same or higher level than your ship level.
You can either co-op the plunder with your friends or call for help from random players byhovering over the settlement icon on the map and holding the buttonshown. This sends out a help request to every player in the nearby vicinity, and they can start going toward the base if they want to join in. Every player involved in the plunder gets the same rewards.
Keep in mind that you have tohit the enemy ships at least onceto get their rewards once they’re sunk.
Apart from getting all the items that you see when you spyglass the enemy base, you’ll also get abunch more Silver from sinking all the reinforcement shipsduring plunder, which makes it one of the best ways to farm in Skull And Bones.
