Prince John – Greediest of All
Of all the Emerald cards included in this deck,Prince John is one of the most beneficial. This is because this character provides a high draw potential, especially when paired with some of the discard-focused cards in this deck.
Prince John’s Ward also helps protect it from being chosen, except in the case of a challenge.

As a result, although it is not Inkable, it does bring with it thehelpful ability to sustain your hand, ensuring you have better access to the cards you need.
Daisy Duck – Secret Agent
Although your main focus will be depleting your opponent’s deck, questing is still an important mechanic in the Emerald/Steel discard deck. However, with the use of Daisy Duck, you won’t need to choose between these tactics. Instead, you’ll be able to target your opponent’s deck while still increasing your own lore.

Emerald/Steel Discard Deck Common Threats
One of the most notable threats for the Emerald/Steel discard deck is theRuby/Sapphire Pawpsicle control deck. The Ruby/Sapphire deck runs a variety of draw engines, helping to keep cards protected in hand.It also features a variety of rush charactersthat can be put into play quickly to challenge your own characters.
IncludingBenja – Guardian of the Dragon Gem provides a strong counterto the Ruby/Sapphire deck, making it more manageable, however. This is because this character has the ability to banish items, which can be helpful against decks like Ruby/Sapphire.
Benja can also be a useful counter against other decks like Ruby/Sapphire that rely greatly on item cards.
The Emerald/Steel discard deck may also suffer in the late game compared to most other decks. However, with careful control and strategy, you’re able to prevent your opponent from getting fully set up, helping to create more favorable conditions later in the game.
