Summary
Baizhu is a five-star Catalyst user inGenshin Impactwho wields a Dendro vision and hails from the nation of Liyue. He’s the owner of the Bubu Pharmacy and, despite suffering from chronic illness, is a very proficient healer, both in the story and in battle.
With the wide roster of healers in the game, Baizhu finds his spot in the meta by being able to cover a multitude of roles:Skill and Burst healing, interruption resistance in the form of small shields, DMG buffs to Dendro reactions, and being able to fit into Dendro teams, which have been dominating the game since Sumeru’s release.

6You Can Heal Just By Collecting Materials
The most unique mechanic when playing as Baizhu is that you don’t need to use any of his abilities to heal your characters. With his Exploration Talent, Herbal Nourishment, when Baizhu is in the party, collecting harvestable items will heal your current active character by a small amount based on 2.5 percent of Baizhu’s Max HP.
It may not seem like a lot, but the fact thatyou can get healed just by collecting random stuff in the overworld, while you’re exploring or farming materials, makes it a pretty great ability, especially for an Exploration Passive. When Baizhu is on your team, it might be a good idea tocollect anything that’s shiningthat you might come across.

5He’s Both Melee and Ranged
Baizhu is a special type of Catalyst character in that he has both melee and ranged attacks. Using his Normal Attack, The Classics of Acupuncture, allows him to deal Dendro DMG to enemies directly in front of him, while his Charged Attack summons a string of AoE Dendro energy that can reach enemies from afar.
As a Catalyst character, Baizhu’s Normal and Charged Attacks are extremely important as he’s able todeal Dendro DMGwithout the need to use any abilities.Decide on whether to use his melee Normal Attacks or ranged Charged Attacks depending on the situation, in order to increase your team’s Dendro application.

4His Elemental Skill Takes Time To Heal
One of Baizhu’s ways of healing is through his Elemental Skill, Universal Diagnosis. After using this Skill, Baizhu will unleash a spirit that will travel towards enemies and perform the following:
In battle, it’s important to note when this spirit will return to you, which is after it attacks thrice, as that’s the only time you’ll receive its healing. His Elemental Skill heals a lot but can’t heal you instantly, so you still need to be cautious of enemy attacks while you wait for the spirit to return to your current active character.

3Don’t Treat Him As An Actual Shielder
After using his Elemental Burst, Baizhu will enter a state that allows him tocreate a series of small shields. While his Elemental Burst is active, he’ll perform the following things:
The shields created by Baizhu can absorb Dendro DMG 250 percent more effectively compared to other Elemental DMG.

Unlike Diona, who can function as both a healer and a shielder, Baizhu can’t really be considered a proper shielder because his shields break easily, and only last for a short while. The main purpose of his shields is to offer quick instances of resistance to interruption, as well as provide additional healing, so act accordingly, as his shielddoesn’t behave like others.
2His Stats Change According To Your Current HP
After reaching Level 20, you’re able to unlock Baizhu’s first Ascension Passive, Five Fortunes Forever. Once this Passive is unlocked, he’ll gain different effects based on the current HP of your active character:
This Passive lets youbalance Baizhu’s stats more easily, allowing you to heal more when your active character is low in HP, or contribute more DMG whenever they aren’t in need of healing. Put this into consideration whenever you’re in a pinch, as you’ll be less likely to be taken down by enemies when Baizhu is in your team.

1He Can Increase Your Dendro Reaction DMG Based On His HP
After unlocking his fourth Ascension Passive, All Things Are of the Earth at Level 70, Baizhu will be able toincrease your team’sDendro Reaction DMGbased on how much Max HP he has.
In Dendro teams, when choosing between a Healing Bonus circlet or HP circlet for Baizhu, it’s better to go with HP, as it’ll contribute to his DMG buff Passive while still increasing his healing, and to an extent, his shielding. Conversely, in teams that don’t focus on Dendro Reactions, you’re able to go ahead with a Healing Bonus circlet.
After a character gets healed by Baizhu’s shields, for each one thousand Max HP that Baizhu possesses:
This effect will last for six seconds, and will refresh every time your active character gets healed by his shields. The Max HP limit for this effect is 50 thousand HP, so make sure to build him with a lot of HP in his artifacts and weapons to increase your team’s Dendro Reaction DMG
