Quests inDragon’s Dogma 2don’t follow the conventional RPG style with exclamation marks or clear indicators guiding you to quest givers. Instead, the game takes a unique approach, encouraging exploration. Quests often require you to interact with characters to discover them, or sometimes, they’ll approach you seeking help.
Aside from the main story, many quests operate this way. Often, the directions to complete a quest aren’t obvious or marked on your map. You’ll need to pay attention to what characters say, think critically, and make decisions. Quests can have multiple outcomes and offer different rewards, much like the “A Case of Sculptor’s Block” quest.

How To Begin A Case of Sculptor’s Block
The questA Case of Sculptor’s Blockbegins when youvisit the Noble Quarter near Klark’s Estate.Klark, the owner, willapproach you and ask for your help in acquiring his final sculpture from Fulvio in Battahl.
If you require assistance in reaching Battahl,be sure to consult our guide.

Your next step is tojourney to Bakbattahl and locate Fulvio’s Workshop in the south of the Residential Ward. Interact with Fulvio, and he will request your aid in capturing a griffin to complete the sketch for Klark’s final sculpture. However, he imposes one condition and offers a hint.
Theconditionis thatyou must prolong the battleto allow him to complete his sketch. Additionally,he prefers the beast to be petrified, which will allow him ample time to craft a perfect sketch.

While both approaches are acceptable, we’ll guide you on how to achieve the best results.
How To Petrify A Griffin
First and foremost, if you aim to petrify the griffin, you must locate a Medusa and obtain her head. This may pose a challenge, especially if you’re attempting this quest early in the game.
However, since this quest isn’t time-sensitive,you can level up your Arisen and return to it later.

For detailed information on that matter, make sure to checkour guide on how to get a Medusa head.
Below is a map where you can locate Medusa.
Once you’ve acquired theMedusa Head, promptly head to the griffin’s locationand meet Fulvio at the entrance of the griffin nest. It’s crucial to get there quickly, astheMedusa headcan decay rapidly if left for too long, even in the inventory.
When the head decays,it becomes unusable. So make sure the item name under the head isWithered Medusa Head.
After speaking with Fulvio, equip the Withered Medusa Head from your inventoryand enter the nest, where the griffin awaits. Simplywait for the griffin to be grounded, access your items menu, use the Medusa head, and aim for the griffin. Continue aiminguntil the griffin is completely petrified.
With the griffin petrified, you’ll avoid battling it, and Fulvio will be greatly satisfied with the result, allowing him to work on his sketch freely.
Keep in mind thatthis is the optimal method to complete the quest. However, if obtaining a Medusa head seems too troublesome, you may still prolong the fight with the griffin to give Fulvio enough time for his sketch, butthe rewards will be different.
Once you’ve completed the griffin part, Fulvio will return to his shop.Wait a few days before checking on him, using the Inn at Bakbattahl or nearby benches to pass the time quickly.
Afterward, return to Fulvio’s workshop and interact with him. He’ll inform you that his piece is complete and provide you withan invitation to witness the final reveal at Klark’s Estate. Head there and proceed upstairs, where everyone eagerly awaits your arrival.Your reward will be given to you at this time in Gold.
