SinceWorld of Warcraft’s inception, unique and prestigious mounts have always been a strong motivating factor for many players to complete challenging and dangerous content. One of the most popular challenges on Azeroth in recent years has been Mythic+ dungeons, and since the final season of the Battle for Azeroth expansion, achieving a certain seasonal score awards challengers a suitably unique and thematically relevant mount to show off their accomplishments.

Introduced in Dragonflight season three, a magnificent beastie called the Verdant Armoredon is one of these mount rewards. Keeping up the Dragonflight expansion’s theme of past Mythic+ seasons, this mount is a mighty lizard imbued with one of the elements of the world.

The First Thing To Know

While the frosty Hailstorm Armoredon and fiery Inferno Armoredon from Dragonflight seasons one and two are no longer available, fret not if you want to get your hands on a cool mount of the same style that mirrors season three’s focus on the wilds of the Emerald Dream. There is only one thing you need to do to befriend this woody behemoth, and that is to complete the achievementDragonflight Keystone Master: Season 3.

Improving your Mythic+ rating through completing Mythic+ Dungeons will let you achieve Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season 3.

Attaining this impressive feat is a fittingly challenging thing to do, withyou needing to battle your way through some of the game’s most difficult content, the aforementioned Mythic+ dungeons. While you may be familiar with the sometimes too-easy dungeon difficulties of Normal and Heroic, Mythic dungeons take a major amount of skill (or some skilled friends) to conquer.

Taking that even a step further,Mythic+ dungeons are accessed by keys you can obtain from theNPC Lindormiin the Dragon Isles capital ofValdrakken. These keys are ranked in difficulty from the lowest number to the highest, starting at+1.

For example, if you have never entered a Mythic+ dungeon before, and you requested a key from Lindormi, you may receive a key called Darkheart Thicket+1. This is an easy enough key for a beginner to try out such a challenging experience, andif you complete that key, you will receive a new one, which would most likely upgrade to a higher number difficulty, depending on how well you did.

These keys will also randomly be set to one of the eight dungeons in the current seasonal pool, with Dragonflight season three having a mix of old and new dungeons available.

Achieving Keystone Master

Your Mythic+ rating must be 2,000 or higher in order to complete the Keystone Master achievement and obtain the Armoredon. That may seem like a daunting task since the dungeon keys are ranked from +1 and onward, but that doesn’t mean that you will have to do thousands of Mythic+ dungeons to reach that magic number.

Your Mythic+ rating is reliant on the level of Mythic+ dungeons you complete successfully, butthat rating can go up by the hundreds depending on how much you increase your key difficulties per run.

The surest way to reach that glorious 2,000 rating is fairly straightforward, and that is tohave a score of at least +15 on each dungeon in the seasonal pool.Additionally, if you want to ensure that your rating reaches that hallowed number of 2,000, each dungeon will have to be completed at +15 or higher twice, once for each major weekly affix.

The Affixes And Dungeons

The major affixes of Dragonflight areTyrannicalandFortified. These affixes affect a myriad of things within Mythic+ dungeons, including enemies' health, defenses, and power. Tyrannical causes dungeon bosses to have 30 percent more health, and for them and their summoned minions to deal 15 percent more damage to bold adventurers. Fortified gives strength to non-boss enemies instead, increasing their health by 20 percent and their damage output by 30 percent.

These two affixes switch-out weekly, so you don’t have to wait long to reach that +15 score for all eight seasonal dungeons during both major affixes.

Speaking of the dungeons, the last thing you need to know is which ones are in the season three pool. They are: The Everbloom from Warlords of Draenor, Darkheart Thicket from Legion, Black Rook Hold from Legion, Waycrest Manor from Battle for Azeroth, Atal’Dazarfrom Battle for Azeroth, Throne of the Tidesfrom Cataclysm, and Dragonflight’s Dawn of the Infinites, which is split into two separate wings in order to be in the pool, Galakrond’s Fall and Murozond’s Rise.

You can find your scores for each dungeon and affix, as well as your current Mythic+ rating in theMythic+ Dungeons tab of your Group Finder interface.Once you attain your rating of 2,000, the Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season 3achievement will automatically be completed, and the Verdant Armoredon will be added to your mount journal.
