As you explore the world ofDragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll find there are creative ways to deal with enemies or navigate to new areas, using the environment to your benefit. However, what’s more interesting is that you can combine these two ideas and use an enemy to reach a new location.
There’s an achievement/trophy called ‘Cyclops Abridged’ that you can unlock by—you guessed it—using a cyclops as a bridge, or as the game refers to it, a cyclopean bridge. Though there is likely more than one location for where this can be done, we’re going to cover the easiest opportunity we found early on in the game.
Where To Find A Cyclops Near A Broken Bridge
Northwest of Vernworth, ignoring the large river mouth directly next to it,further northwestthere is anotherriver, which flows to the northwest ofTrevo Mineand the Derelict Mine, as shown on the maps above.
From the entrance to the Derelict Mine facing out over the land, you can see the cyclops and the bridge in the distance, with the circular building just behind them.
There is asmall circular building on the map right above the river. This is where you want to be, as right before this building is the broken bridge and the cyclops. It’s justnorth of the Riftstone of Dutyandsouth of the Malachite Forest.
How To Make The Cyclops Fall On The Bridge
When you find the cyclops near the bridge, it’ll most likely be sleeping. You need towake it and draw its attentionwithout you or your pawn going over to the other side. The aim is tolure the cyclops towards you so that it fallsin between the gap of the broken bridge.
If you send your pawns forward, a mage might use Levitate to reach the other side, in which case the cyclops will just attack them instead and not approach the gap.
If you’re not sure how best to get its attention, you canthrow something at it or use a ranged attack, while entering combat with other enemies nearby also seems to wake it.
Simply making the cyclops fall and create a bridge is not enough to unlock the ‘Cyclops Abridged’ accolade, you need toactually cross over it.
Be warned that the cyclops will not stay there for too long, and eventually will fall down and then pull itself up.
