In addition to exploring Embervale and fighting back against the Shroud withinEnshrouded, you will gain experience that goes towards leveling up. As you level up, you will become stronger and gain skill points, which can then be used to unlock new nodes on the branching skill tree.

There are 25 levels in total, but it can take a while to reach this. Once your max level, any experience-gaining activities will no longer yield experience. How do you get to this point though? Here, we are going to look at the best ways to level up as quickly as possible.

What Actions Give Experience?

Not everything in Enshrouded will provide experience. In general, you willgain experience from combat, exploration, and gathering materials. Of course, not all of this is worth your time in terms of farming experience.

Now, let’s look at the best ways to gain experience and level up.

Defeat Bosses And Enemies

Defeating bosses and enemiesis a great way to gain a lot of experience, especially early on in the game. For example, as you head to clear the first Elixir Well, you will run into tons offell enemies, as well as theFell Thunderbrute, which serves as a mini-boss for this area.

Enemies reset each day, so you can revisit locations and continue to defeat Fell.

Upon defeat, enemies like this will provide a good amount of experience. If you are ever looking to get some experience,we highly suggest heading into the Shroud and killing Fell enemies.Be sure to not be too over-leveled though, asyou won’t get as much experience.

Try to take down enemies that are around or slightly above your own level. If they are too strong, you may die. Thankfully, there is no XP drain/loss if you do happen to die.

Clear Elixir Wells

Elixir Wells are spread throughout Embervale, with aShroud Root serving as the main point.Destroying Shroud Roots provides some experience, but getting to one can be quite a process.

As such, we suggest combining the previous experience-gaining method with this one.Venture into the Shroud, defeat Fell enemies, and then target the Shroud Rootalong with its nearby mini-boss.

Complete Quests

Bycompleting quests, you’re able to gain a set amount of experience. For example, by completing the quest to find the Carpenter’s Table Saw, you cangain 150 XP.For this quest, you will also gain access to recipes that require the Table Saw to make.

Take a look through your journal to see if there are any simple quests that you can complete to gain experience. Some quests have a lot of steps, but others are quitequick and can be completed in no time.

Some of the NPCs may even give you small fetch quests that lead to treasure. Completing these willreward you with said treasure, as well as some experience.

Use Experience Scrolls

Experience Scrolls are unique items thatprovide a specified amount of experience. These aren’t too common in the world, but you may have a chance tofind one from chests, as well as breakable items such as crates and jars.

This isn’t the most reliable way to gain experience, but finding one in the world can help you level up, which is always worth it. Holding on to these scrolls doesn’t really have a benefit, soyou can use them immediately.

Gather Materials

By mining, you can gain a bit of experience. While this isn’t the most thrilling task, it’s also agreat way to build up materials. For example, you can mine copper for crafting in addition to mining for experience.

This experience-gaining method is perfect if you want to sit back and relax a bit. If you have visited any labeledmines on the map,we suggest heading to one of these locations. For example, theMark Of Sameth is a location west of the Revelwood Spirewhereyou can find a lot of copper.

Explore Embervale

Lastly,go exploring!Exploringnew locationswill provide experience. Exploration is important in Enshrouded; it’s a main task, and necessary to do pretty much everything. If you like to stay at your base and build,we suggest taking a break every now and then to explore the world around you.

Overall, natural exploration and combat will steadily level you up. To speed up the process, defeat Fell enemies, mini-bosses, and mine!Enshrouded isn’t a quick game,so sit back and enjoy the journey.
