You’re going to need plenty of resources as you play throughPacific Drive. They’re required for crafting upgrades for your car, tools for yourself, and backup items in case the Storm gets you. Your car doesn’t have infinite room for loot, though.
It’s inevitable that you’ll run out of space at some point, but fret not. Just like you can upgrade your car’s parts, you can upgrade how much you can carry and store. With help from Oppy and her Fabrication Station, you’ll be able to get some sweet storage upgrades and load you and your car up with all the resources possible.

How To Increase Inventory Storage For Your Backpack
Besides your car, you’ll becarrying plenty of items yourself, but at first, you won’t be able to carry much in your backpack.
Toexpand your backpackand get more inventory, you’ll first need tounlock the Outfitting Stationin theGarage tab at the Fabrication Station.

Outfitting Station

TheOutfitting Station goes in the same roomas the Fabrication Station, and itgives you a variety of new upgradesfor yourself, includingupgrades to your backpack.
The Outfitting Station alsoallows you to craft clothingthat gives youresistances to damage typessuch asRadiation or Electrical.

Thefirst upgradeyou can craft is theMedium Backpack,which costs 20 Fabric, and itexpands your inventoryinto a total of66 slots and six Quick Slots.
Thesecond backpackyou can upgrade to is theLarge Backpack, whichcosts 40 Fabric and 200 Coraland gives you a total of76 slots and eight Quick Slots.

How To Increase Inventory Storage In Your Car
Once you’vecompleted a few drivesout into the Zone, you’llunlock the Fabrication Stationat the Auto Shop, and this is yourkey to getting upgrades to your storageand other aspects.
Interact with the Fabrication Stationat the shop. There will betwo main tabs related to inventory storagefor your car:Expansion Racks and Car Storage.

You’llneed Stable,Unstable, orCorrupt Energies to unlock upgradesin the Fabrication Station,as well as different materials and prerequisites.
As youprogress and upgrade the Workbench, find new materials and energy types, andunlock new blueprintsin the Fabrication Station, you’llunlock bigger and better storage options, such as the XL Roof Storage.
Expansion Racks
Expansion Racks arehalf of the storage upgradesyou can begin unlocking. These add specific rack types to parts of your car, such asthe back windowsand the roof.
Thefirst oneyou’ll be able tounlock is the Side Rack, and it can beattached to either of the back windowsof your car, but for it to function, you’ll alsoneed a Side Storageto go with it.

Each Expansion Rackyou fabricate can beequipped with one of the optionsthat match, such as theSide Storages going with the Side Rackand the Roof Storage going with the Roof Racks.
Racks aren’t just for expanding your inventoryor fuel reserves, though; they can alsoaccept different tools and attachmentsdepending on the location.

Car Storage
Car Storage gives youmore inventory spaceforresources like Electronics, anyextra tools you’re carrying, anditems for healthandcar maintenance.
Thefirst oneyou’ll beable to unlock is the Side Storage, which goes in tandem withanother early upgrade, theSide Rack. Each adds a five-by-seven main storage area andeight additional slots.

While you may add different attachments to your racks later, you’llwant to add Side Storages to your racks firsttostock up on as many materials as possible.
Trunk Storage
You can alsoincrease the storage offered by your trunk, one of themain places you’ll store itemsthroughout Pacific Drive.
Once you’vereached the Mid-Zoneand unlockedUnstable EnergyfromUnstable Anchors, you’ll be able to get yourfirst big trunk upgrade,A Trunk in the Trunk.

Your trunk can befurther upgraded into the Augmented Trunk Storageonce you’ve progressed far enough tounlock Corrupt Energy from Corrupt Anchors.
How To Increase Storage At The Auto Shop
Alongside storage for your car, you’re able to alsogive yourself more room to pack away your items at the shop.
Initially,you’ll unlock the Transfer Trunkas both a storage option and a way to quickly transfer items, and you’ll begranted a single storage Lockernear the garage doors.
You alsounlock an additional regular Lockerthat sitsnext to the Fabrication Stationwhen you gain access to it andcontains a few extra items,such as aCrude Bumperinside.
Under theGarage tab in the Fabrication Station, you’ll be able tounlock more storage lockersfor the shop, such as atotal of four Expanded Lockersand the advanced Pneumatic Lockers.
Each of them gives you anadditional three-by-ten,four-by-ten, andfive-by-ten storage sectionsper locker, and they’llappear in different spots in the shop.
Later on, you canunlock additional, more specific storage options, such asParts Lockers, exclusively forstoring extra car parts,so that you canfree up storage space in your regular lockers.
