InSkull and Bones, your first ship will be a small Dhow with only two crewmates, a major downgrade from the ship you steer during the intro sequence. However, getting a bigger ship and amassing a fleet of loyal pirates is only a matter of time as you complete main quests. The Tools of the Trade quest helps you on the way to obtain a better ship.
This mandatory quest tasks you with finding Acacia wood to build a better ship. Since you’re not told where to obtain this type of wood, this quest can be a bit tricky to complete. Here’s everything you need to know to obtain Acacia wood.

How To Craft A Saw
Before you’re able to harvest wood,you’ll need a Saw.You cancreate a Saw with the help of the Carpenter, by bringing him the proper materials. A level-one Saw can becrafted with the following recipe:
1x Broken Plank
20x Silver
Torn Sails and Broken Planks can beharvested near the site of Shipwrecks.There are three Shipwrecksnear the East side of Sainte-Anne, each with materials floating in the sea nearby. You alsodon’t need any tools to harvest these resources, you just need to sail close enough to pick them up.

How To Find Acacia
Acacia trees arelocated on the northern part of Sainte-Anne, shown by the tree icons when viewing the map. Highlightingthese icons will display which type of wood is availableat this location. Sail over to this location andget close enough to the treewhere you can use your Saw.
How To Harvest Acacia
When close enough and prompted, press the indicated button to start harvesting. To harvest the wood, youhave to complete a minigamesimilar to the one used for salvaging Shipwrecks. In this minigame, you need tostop the moving cursor in the green zonesthree times. If you fail three times, you’llneed to restart the minigame from the beginning.
Be wary of Nile Crocodilesthat lurk near the Acacia Trees at Sainte-Anne. A basic Hunting Spear isn’t very effective for taking down these creatures, soit’s best to retreat.
