One of the best things aboutDragon’s Dogma 2is that you never know what you might encounter while exploring the world with your pawns. Rare rewards, dangerous creatures, and unforgettable moments. One such optional enemy you might miss is the Skeleton Lord Ja’Nuwa, and more importantly, theVisage of Ja’Nuwahead armor you get for defeating him.
Ja’Nuwa is a Skeleton Lord with a whopping great sword, so don’t go unprepared. This guide covers everything you need to know about how and where to find Ja’Nuwa, how to defeat him, and what loot you may grab from his tomb.

How To Find The Tomb Of Ja’Nuwa
TheTomb of Ja’Nuwaislocated in Battahland can be found to thesouthwest of Bakbattahl, just a littlesouth of the building marked on the mapand to theleft of the Canyon Cave. Right outside the Tomb of Ja’Nuwa is theRiftstone of the Fangedand a campfire.
We recommend resting up at the campfire before heading in to take on Ja’Nuwa. He should be fairly straightforward if you and your pawns are Level 30+ but if you are lower than that, he may prove to be a challenge.
Inside the cave, you’ll eventually reach a deadend, and you’ll need todestroy the boulder blocking your path, either with the nearby explosive barrel or by your own attacks to reach the inner tomb where Ja’Nuwa is.
How To Defeat Ja’Nuwa
Once inside the tomb properly, you’ll see Ja’Nuwa stood at the back of the room. As you come closer, he will spring to life and attack.
Ja’Nuwa is of theWarrior vocationand he and his greatsword can do some serious damage to you and your pawns. He will do great big swings of his weapon thatcan send you flyingacross the room and he isquick on his feet to chase you down, too.
Ice attacks are effectiveagainst Ja’Nuwa and using Ice Affinity on your weapons means your attacks has a chance to freeze him to leave him open to your attacks.
Because he can deal a lot of damage quite quickly, it’s worth havinga dedicated Mage in your party to keep your team healed.
