Alongside this exploration, there are various pieces of intel to analyze and explore for Chadley, as well as individuals in need of assistance from Cloud and his friends.
Side quests in this game come in all types and shapes, and some of them are more challenging than they initially sound. Sometimes, they require you to hunt down a monster, while other times, you’ll find yourself chasing chickens. However, there are also quests like reuniting Mr. Birdie with their friends, which may seem simpler but can still present its own unique challenge.

How To Begin Missing: Mr. Birdie
Afterreaching chapter 9in the game, theMissing: Mr. Birdie quest becomes available in North Corel - Lookout. you’re able to obtain itthrough the Community board there, which will lead you to some kids searching for their beloved pet,Mr. Birde.
Where To Find The Transmuter Chip
Before you can pinpoint thetransmitter chip location,you must analyze the lifesprings in the region. To do this, you need to completeExpedition Intel tasks, essentially the Lifespring intel.
The Remnawave Towers marked on the map will reveal their locations, andthere are four you need to unlock in the dessert: one northeast, one west, one at the very east of the map, and one around the middle of the desert.

Once you’ve done all four, you will unlockedExcavation Intel 2: Deserted Village, you’ll need toutilize your Chocobo to locate the three digging sites at the village. Dig at these locations to unlock the recipe required for the quest.
Where To Find Mr. Birdie
After completing the required missions,open the Item Transmuterandnavigate to Key Items. Here, you’ll find that you can nowcraft the Bird Trap using five Sage, three Mist Seeds, and three Marjoram. Be sure to craft three Bird Traps.
These ingredients are commonly found in the world, so you shouldn’t have any trouble gathering them.

With the traps in hand,head to all three locations on the map: one to the west, one to the south, and one to the east of the desert.Set the bait in each trap. Upon returning to check on all three traps,you’ll encounter enemies in the first two.
At the third trap, you’ll noticea very familiar bird lured by the trap, buta Gigant Bomb monster will block your path.

Defeat it first;its weakness is Ice. When it uses Inflame, make sure to inflict enough ice damage to pressure it.
Be cautious, as this enemy will self-destruct when its HP is low, dealing significant damage.

After dealing with the enemy and watching the subsequent cutscene, fast travel to the lookout and report to the kids. It turns out that Mr. Birdie was actually Cloud Jr.!
In addition to the usualEXP and Party EXP rewards, you’ll also receive a very useful material calledLevel Boost Material, whichincreases the level of a linked material by one level.
