Every year around Easter,World of Warcrafthosts the Noblegarden event, a chance for players and their friends to go on egg-hunts and work towards exclusive spring-themed mounts, pets, toys, and transmogs. Introduced in the Wrath Of The Lich King expansion, the event lasts for only a week, so time is a factor if you are an adamant collector, especially with a mount as rare as this.
As with the event’s other rewards, this mount can be a bit of a grind to acquire, but you might find that this beautiful blue tapestry is hard to sweep under the rug.
How To Get The Noble Flying Carpet
The Noble Flying Carpet is anextremely rare drop from the Loot-Filled Basket, so far recorded to be less than a one percent chance.
The Loot-Filled Basket isgiven as a rewardfromZinnia Brooks (Alliance) or Sylnaria Fareflame (Horde)after turning in the quest’Feathered Fiend.'
Luckily, there are no prerequisites for this quest to be available, simplyrequiring you to defeat an NPC named Daetan Swiftplume.
Although Daetan can be defeated at any level, you willonly receive the Loot-Filled Basket if you are leveled 60+.
First, head toGoldshire in the Elwynn ForestorRazor Hill in Durotar,depending on your faction. If the event is active, you should see a large golden star symbol on your map labeled as the ‘Large Duck Nest.’ Head here to see Daetan’s empty nest and get ready to summon him.
Everyfive to ten minutes,a giant and hard-to-missgolden egg will spawn nearbythat can be towed over to the nest. Once this is done, he will immediately come flying down and begin the encounter.
The golden egg can be a bit glitchy, so it’s recommended toavoid dragging the egg through waterandto not mount up.
Defeating him should be relatively easy, as there will usually be plenty of other players nearby ready to help.
When defeated,he will drop the Noblegarden Trinket, automatically starting the quest ‘Feathered Fiend’ and guiding you to your respective NPC to turn in the quest. The Noblegarden Trinketcan only be looted once daily, so using different toons will give you a better chance.
