The Ancient Armor is an intriguing and mysterious item inSons of the Forestthat gives the wearer several unique benefits over standard protection. Upon wearing the armor, you are granted a 70 percent damage negation from Demons and a 30 percent damage negation against mutants and cannibals. Not only that, but the armor doesn’t break, gives you an extended protection bar, and is used as a key item in unlocking the VIP Bunker.
These benefits make the Ancient Armor fairly integral to collect during your game, and finding the armor can be a bit tricky for most. This guide will tell you exactly where you need to go to find the Ancient Armor.
Where To Find The Ancient Armor
To find the Ancient Armor, you first need to get to the cave it is located within.
Looking at your GPS, the cave will be found on thesouthwestern side of the snowy mountains, where the two circular connected bodies of water are located.
Follow the long river on the bottom left of the map until you hit the lake as an easy way to find the cave entrance.
The entrance of the cave will be boarded up and can be identified by thetwo dead cultistslying right next to it.
Break through the wooden boards and you may now enter the cave. Follow the stream of water to an open space, where there isapool of water in the centerthat you can dive into.
You will then have to swim through the underwater cave system, somake sure you have the proper equipment for long swimming.
After resurfacing at the end of the swim, you will be in an open area with some enemies, so be careful when progressing forward.
Head straight through this area and you will find anopen rock slide at the endwhere you will ride down into a flooded cave.
Continue forward, and you willgo up the rampthat will bring you into a large open space with several bodies lying around.
At the end of the area, you’ll see abody with a light pointing at itagainst the wall. The next path through the cave will be to theleft of this body.
Going down this path, you will pass by several hanging skeletons and thenproceed down the stone pathway that has a mangled corpse in front of it.
Follow the stone pathway to thegolden pillarsand then continue forward to the entrance with the golden material around it.
This is a one-way path that will continue into a flooded area where you will move forward.
Upon being in the area with the golden gates to your left,ignore them and go straight alongto another pathway.
This path brings you to yet another open area, do what you’ve been doing and just progress straight ahead.
You’ll findanother passage with golden material signifying it, along with some more bodies in front.
Going through this path will bring you to a room with several golden objects on the floor, and going straight will take you totwo narrow rocks with an entrance between them.
Go through the rocks, and you will find wooden boards blocking another path through the cave. Breakthrough and you will be met with atied rope leading down a hole.
Take the rope down to another corridor with gold material on the sides. Follow the path and then take a right down to another water area. Keep right where you will now have to swim again.
After the swim, head to thegolden material at the end of the room and go right, then left. You will head towards the open area with theelectrified ship in the center.
Head around to the back of the shipand you break through the boarded-up doorway.
Head straight to the cockpit, andyou can now collect and use the Ancient Armor.
