Dragon’s Dogma 2has a sprawling open world and, in a welcome change of pace, is completely devoid of quest markers. In its place are NPCs that approach you dynamically instead, hoping for assistance. This makes for a more immersive world, though one that is intentionally light on guiding you.
Even one of the earliest quests you’re able to acquire, the Provisioner’s Plight, is given dynamically and leaves you to yourself for the most part. It’s a short quest, but one that might have you scratching your head wondering whatHarspudeven is. Read on to find a guaranteed spawn for Harspuds and to learn what they actually look like.
Finding Markus And Delivering The Note
The act of finding Markus is a simple one.You leave the Borderwatch camp by the North exit and keep walking until you find him on a hill. In a rare display of compassion, the game has a direct quest marker showing where Markus is.
After you deliver theProvisioner’s Noteto him, however, he requests you find thethreeHarspudsand twoSalubrious Draughtsinstead.
Finding And CraftingHarspudAnd Salubrious Draughts
This is the part of the quest that is a tad more complex. The three requested Harspuds can be found on bushes in the surrounding area, highlighted within the yellow circles on the map. This isn’t a very clear guide, though, especially when you don’t know whatHarspudactually is.
Harspudcan be found onbushes with twirling purple flowers, which should stand out against the greenery. With any luck, yourPawns will also help youby picking up any pieces they find. Keep in mind that though Markus asks forHarspud,Princess Harspudand other varietals will also suffice.
For a guaranteed location where threeHarspudcan be found, head to thewest of Borderwatch camp.There, you will find a small wooden structure andthreeHarspudbushes.
The two Salubrious Draughts are considerably easier to get. Though they cannot be found in the world,they are incredibly simple to craft. Simply open your inventory and press the button to combine when highlighting someGreenwarish. This will bring up a dedicated menu for crafting items. If you scroll over to the right, you’ll also see a menu dedicated to all the recipes you already know,
This will include many recipes for Salubrious Draughts.They only require a herb, typicallyGreenwarish, and either another herb or fruit -ApplesandBlueberriesare very common in the area around Borderwatch. Make two, deliver them to Markus alongside theHarspud, and you’re almost complete!
After the delivery, simply return to the quest giver, Geoffrey. He’ll thank you for your help and reward you with somegold andDried Fruit.
