InLego Fortnite Odyssey, there are plenty of crafting resources to find across the map and various biomes. Foraging and grinding for wood, granite, ore, and gems is how you get what you need to craft everything from weapons and tools to buildings and gliders, and with the new Compass and Spyglass come two new crafting resources.
To craft the newly-introduced Compass and Spyglass you will need Glass, and for that, you’ll also need Sand. In this guide, we’ll tell you where you can find Sand, and what you need to do to turn the Sand into Glass for these new recipes.

How To Make Glass
Getting Glass to craft aCompassor Spyglass is, thankfully, a very simple task, and you don’t have to worry about durability with these items, soyou won’t need to grind for Glass as much as you would other resources.
To make Glass, you’re going to need two resources;the primary resource is Sand, which you can dig up with your Shovel ineither the Shore or Dry Valley biomes, andthe second isBrightcore, which you can get from any of the caves in Dry Valley.
How much Sand you dig updepends on the quality of your Shovel. For example, an Uncommon Shovel will yield you two pieces of Sand, while an Epic Shovel will give you four.
You can also reguarlyfind Glass by defeating piratesfound on the Shore or at the Lost Isles, orbandits in the Dry Valley.
How To Make The Metal Smelter
Once you have the necessary resources to make Glass,the next thingyou’ll need is a Metal Smelter. If you don’t have one yet, go into theStations tab of your build menu.
