Rocksteady’s game has created a variety of interesting weapons for Task Force X to wield, making the loot grind that much more appealing.
Using the most powerful gear in the game is a blast already, but there’s actually a way to get even more abilities added to your character’s loadouts. This system is referred to as Villain Synergy, and can add devastating modifiers to your Squad member and make them even more overpowered.
What Are Villain Synergies?
Villain Synergies occur whenequipping pieces of gear that are modeled after two different supervillains. In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, bothnotorious and infamous loot are themed around a particular member of DC’s rogues gallery. They have designs, names, and in-game effects that reference the characters they are based on, andthus are the best gear to use.
If you equip different notorious and infamous gear to your character at the same time,you may get a splash screen saying that you’ve discovered a villain synergy(you’llpop a trophy too). Using loot from those two villain sets will not only grant the bonuses of the gear itself, butalso an additional ability whenever gear based around both those villains is placed on your character.
This gives you yet another option to consider when attempting to craft the best endgame character build.
Villain-based weaponry and items may sound cool, but you’ll be waiting a while to use them.Notorious and infamous gear is best found duringendgame Elseworlds missions, where they will be essential to surviving increasing mastery levels.
How To Find Villain Synergies
The only way to find villain synergies is togo to your loadout screen and experiment with matching different villain setson your character. As Suicide Squadcontinues to expand in the coming months, more loot will be added to the game,massively multiplying the potential number of synergies to discoverand lending further opportunity to tweak loadouts.
