Enshrouded’sHollow Halls brings engaging endgame dungeons that offer materials for both exploration and experimentation. With these new materials, you can expect a lot of new craftable items such as consumables, decorations, tools, and equipment.
Two of the resources for the Hollow Halls are Ectoplasm and Ectoplasm Fragments, which go hand in hand. Here’s everything you need to know about getting these resources and what recipes you can unlock by farming them.
Where To Find Ectoplasm And Ectoplasm Fragments
Ectoplasm Fragments
To find Ectoplasm Fragments, you need to grab the “Explore The Hollow Halls” quest from the Alchemist. The quest leads you to a location where you shouldfinish the Hollow Halls, which contain several puzzles and stronger enemies that are usually fought with a whole party.
Ectoplasm Fragments drop from skeleton mages, warriors, and reapers. In a way, you’re able to tell if the enemy is stronger than the usual naked skeleton. If they are, you can expect them to drop Ectoplasm Fragments.
As for the normal-looking skeletons, they only drop bones. In the image above, you can see the loot pile is different from what you usually get from eliminating normal skeletons. This is because thenormal skeletons only drop Bones, while thesestronger skeletons drop Worn Cloth, Spells, Ectoplasm Fragments, Bones, and other random resources.
Ectoplasm
For Ectoplasm, it is a longer process. If you finish the quest that leads to the first Hollow Halls,you’ll get the sixth NPC, The Collector, which gives you a brand new quest leading up to the next Hollow Halls – Revelwood.
After finishing the Revelwood Hollow Halls,you’ll get to unlock The Collector’s Ectoplasm Press. With the Ectoplasm Press, you can turn your Ectoplasm Fragments into Ectoplasm.
What Are Ectoplasm And Ectoplasm Fragments Used For?
Since you already know that Ectoplasm Fragments are used to create Ectoplasm,both of them go hand in hand. However, there are a few materials that require Ectoplasm Fragments instead of Ectoplasm, so it is best not to turn everything into Ectoplasm.
For one,Ectoplasm Fragments creates the Bone Keys for the next tier of Hollow Halls adventures. They also create Ectoplasm Gems, which are used to craft a new line of decorative items through The Collector.
There are new spells, arrows, and vessels that need Ectoplasm Fragments. As for Ectoplasm, they are used tocraft Ectoplasm Soups and Ice Protection Lotion.
The notable item here is the Ectoplasm Soup because this consumable gives youten percent more damage against the Hollow and eight percent Life Leech chance against the Hollow for 35 minutes. However, it also lowers your health by 50, but you’re able to eat some food with Constitution buff to negate it.
You only need one Honey and one Ectoplasm to craft one Ectoplasm Soupwhich is very efficient since the buff lasts for 35 minutes.Farming Honeymight be tedious since it isn’t something you would find while exploring, though.
If you are playing as a tank for your party, you might want to hold off on using the Ectoplasm Soup because you’ll have less health.
