When you first start your adventure throughPacific Drive, you are introduced to the various crafting materials that you’re able to interact with and collect. Upon arriving at the Auto Shop for the first time, you may notice that you have all of the materials necessary to begin crafting the basic recipes available to you, except for one key ingredient - Electronics.
Electronics are a very important crafting material in the game that will allow you to create Circuit Boards as well as progress your car and garage into a technological future. This guide will explore ways to get Electronics and what to use them for once you have them.
Where To Find Electronics
Reliably findingElectronicscan be quite difficult, especially if you haven’t reached the Mid Zone or further yet. This is because Electronics arenot scattered about the world and will not generate as interactable itemswhile exploring Junctions and Interstates.
Instead, Electronicsmust be harvested from other devicesthat you find such astelevisions and radios. These consumer electronic devices can be found most often atARDA Facilities like ARDA Trailers and ARDA Towers.
To obtain Electronics from these devices, simply use yourScrapper or Impact Hammerto disassemble them for their parts.
Devices that drop Electronics tend to only drop asingle stack of Electronics.
Other Places To Harvest Electronics
You can alsoharvest Electronics from several of the anomalies found in the Junctions. The smaller anomalies like the bunnies - theBroken Bunny and Dust Bunny- or the hares - theHopped-Up Hare and the Happy Hare- can all be scrapped using the Scrapper or Impact Hammer. These anomalies all yield Electronics.
What Requires Electronics?
Electronics are required by a plethora of crafting recipes in Pacific Drive, as they are the basis for almost every item that runs off ofbattery power. Even some of yoursurvival toolsrequire Electronics.
TheFabristationalso requires Electronics to make a lot of the upgrades that are available for the garage.
And finally, if you want to upgrade all of your tech and start making mid-game items, then you will need tounlock and make Circuit Boards using Electronics.
How To Get Circuit Boards
Circuit Boards are the mid-game version of Electronics. to get the blueprint for these from the Fabristation, you must firstunlock Steel Sheet, Bulb, and Gearin the Refining section.
Some of the most important items in the game require Circuit Boards: theHigh-capacity Battery, Resource Radar, and the AMP Engineare just a few examples.
