To celebrate the release of Pokemon Horizons: The Series,Pokemon Gois hosting an in-game event this week. This event, thePokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event,will offer tons of bonuses, features, and even a new Pokemon Go debut.

This will be a week-long event, lasting longer than the majority of other events offered previously, taking place fromTuesday, June 11, 2025, at 10am local time to Monday, July 02, 2025, at 8pm local time.There are a lot of components of this event, so read on to make sure you know exactly what to expect throughout the Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event.

Pokemon Debuts

There will be a new evolutionary line being added to Pokemon Go with this event, theCharcadet line. This includesCharcadet and its spit evolutions, Ceruledge and Armarouge.

To evolve Charcadet into either Ceruledge or Armarouge, you will need tobattle different Pokemon while Charcadet is set as yourBuddy Pokemon.With Charcadet as your Buddy Pokemon, you will be able to evolve it into Ceruledge after defeating30 Ghost-type Pokemon,or you can evolve it into Armarouge after defeating30 Psychic-type Pokemon.

Youdo not need to defeat the Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon with Charcadetto unlock these evolutions.

As long as Charcadet is set as your Buddy Pokemon, these Pokemon can be defeated by any Pokemon in your collect.

Additionally, there will be a new costumed Pokemon making its debut with this event:Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat.During this event, you will have the chance to encounter and catch this new costumed Pikachu as awild encounter, a Field Research Task encounter, and as a One-Star Raid Pokemon.

This Charged Attack possesses90 Powerin PvE battles and possesses90 Power and decreases the opponent’s Defense statin PvP battles.

Event Bonuses

There will be multiple bonuses available to all players who log in and play Pokemon Go during this event. This includesthree different bonuses,each listed for you below.

Event Egg Pokemon

During this event there will be a slight change in the Pokemon that can be hatched from2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs. Charcadet, Pokemon Go’s latest debut, will beadded to the pool of Pokemon that can be hatched from these three types of Eggsif they are acquired during the days of this event.

Following the conclusion of this event,Charcadet will remain in the Egg pool for 10 km Eggs.

During this event, there will benine different Pokemon that will appear frequently in the wild,each following the theme of this event. These nine event-themed wild encounter Pokemon are provided for you below.

Event Raid Pokemon

There will be a change in some of the Pokemon that are found in Raids during this event, specifically those found inOne-Star and Three-Star Raids. There will besix different event-themed Pokemon found in Raidsduring this event, including the new costumed Pokemon, Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat.

Event Field Research Task Encounters

Like other events hosted in the past, there will beevent Field Research Tasksavailable to claim throughout the Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event. To obtain these Field Research Tasks, make sure tovisit different PokeStops and spin their Photo Discs.

Among these tasks, there will be some that will reward you with Pokemon encounters upon their successful completion, providing you with an opportunity to catchone of seven event-themed Pokemon.

The seven potential Pokemon that you can encounter through these event Field Research Tasks include:

Event Pokemon Showcases

Event-themed Pokemon Showcaseswill be appearing at different PokeStops throughout the days of this event. For these specific Pokemon Showcases, you will berequired to submit different event-themed Pokemon.

Although it is unknown which Pokemon specifically will be eligible to enter into these Pokemon Showcases, it’sexpected that it will include some of the Pokemon featured throughout this event.

Because it is not known which specific Pokemon will be featured in these Pokemon Showcases, make sure tohold onto the different featured Pokemon that you catch during this event.This is especially true for those that are exceptionally large and heavy, as these Pokemon typically receive the most points in Pokemon Showcases.
