Enshroudedhas an exhaustive number of resources available in the game. Some are quite easy to find but needed in huge quantities. The Ammonia Glands fall under this category, but they are hard to stockpile. This resource plays a huge role in upgrading your gear and progressing your base to the next level.
If you want a lot of Ammonia Glands, here’s the best way to farm these materials. For this particular farming method, you’ll need an available Flame Altar, a glider, and some decent combat-ready gear. These are mandatory for the fast farming method, but if you want to go a little slower, you don’t have to commit to getting some better gear for this strategy.

Where Do You Find Ammonia Glands?
Ammonia Glands drop from red mushroom-like creaturesthat spew poison when you get near them. These creatures spawn in the enshrouded areas, typically in areas where monsters are level 17 and above, soif you are in a low-level enshrouded area, you won’t see these creatures.
One of the best spawns for these red mushroom creatures would bein Umbral Hollow’s enshrouded area. On average, you can find six to seven enemies every day(in-game reset) going around the Umbral Hollow.
When you eventually find one,every time they do its close-range poison attack,it has a chance to drop Ammonia Glands at that specific location it did its attack,so you will get roughly three to four more Ammonia Glands when you let it attack more than four times. Once you have eliminated one, you get five Ammonia Glands on average, excluding the drops from their attacks, so if they did multiple attacks before dying, don’t forget to go back and check the ground for more Ammonia Glands.
If you keep them alive to keep attacking, hoping they drop an unlimited amount of Ammonia Glands, it won’t work as it’ll be too slow, and you have better chances by finishing them off quicker and resetting your game to respawn them.

Here’s a good way to set up an Ammonia Gland farming strategy.
Setting Up Your Flame Altar For Fast Travel
To set up a reliable farm,you need toset up a fast travel pointnear the farming location, so grab some stones and have a Flame Altar available, since you’ll need a fast travel point here to farm a lot of Ammonia Glands.
Place the Flame Altar above the cliff overlooking Umbral Hollow;the spot looks like the image above, and while you may choose other spots close to Umbral Hollow,this one connects to other points of interest in the area that doesn’t have an Ancient Spire nearby. For this strategy,Umbral Hollow will provide the best and most reliable red mushroom creature spawnswhile giving easy access to other nearby resources.
Gliding Down Umbral Hollow
If you chose that location, the run startsby gliding down from your Flame Altar spawn and going around the Conway Camp. You’ll spot two to four red mushroom creatures, and after clearing around, beeline towards the center and look for more red mushroom creatures.
They like to roam around so once you spot one or two you can retreat if you want. While you are in this area already,you might as well get some Shrouded Sacks, Shrouded Wood, and all the needed resourcesfound in an enshrouded area.
A Fast Way of Getting Out Of The Enshrouded Area
Once you are done, return to the spiral pathway near the Conway camp. If you need more Ammonia Glands, you can repeat the same process after one in-game day or you can rehost the server and reset.
If you are using your Ammonia Glands to create Leather, it doesn’t make sense to reset the server to spawn the creatures again. Since you are using the Tanning Station to create Leather,it’ll take some time to craft the Leather anyway so you’ll eventually wait for it.
It is worth noting that you may’t use the fast travel feature while inside an enshrouded area. You always plan out your adventures when diving down into an enshrouded area because you might lose all your loot if you die in lava or your body is too unreachable.
Where Do You Use Ammonia Glands?
Ammonia Glands somehow creates level 17+ gear sets from most of the crafters in Enshrouded.Since Ammonia Glands are the core materials needed to create Leatherwhich is then used to make Padding, it comes as no surprise that everyone wants several Ammonia Glands at their disposal.
Apart from gear sets,Leather also creates a Large Backpack and several carpet designs for your base. If you are playing with other friends,everyone will need thatbackpack upgradeon top of better gear sets for their character.
Ammonia Glands also creates Paper andsome spells like Acid Bite spell from the Alchemist. If you are fond of this spell,creating multiple Acid Bites will cost a ton of Ammonia Glands, especially when you adventure and keep using the spell.
