For a more comprehensive guide on the achievements that take some extra steps, follow these quick guidesto earn them.
Pacifist
Thefirst Pacifist achievement in Portal: Revolution is the hardestto earn. Once you’ve got behind the first turret, shoot a portal beside itandone behind the turret in the next room. Sneak through andgrab the cube, using it asa shield from the far turretas you walk it over to the button.
Once you’re safely behind the wall andplace the cube, run through the door. Next, shoot a portal on the farthest wallacross from the large button andone under the cube. Try tocatch the cube in the lower portal’s color on the groundto launch it to the button. Once across, launch yourself nextto it.
While avoiding the turret a short distance away, place the cube on the button. Then, shoot a portal on the wall above the closest turret. Launch yourself across andrun into the exit, withonly a few seconds to get throughbefore you’re eliminated.
In the next room, shoot one color portal under the cube dispenserandthe other above youbefore hitting the button. Use thedropped cube to block incoming turret fire, moving until you’re safelyblocked by the corner wallnear the dispenser. From there, peek around the corner and shoot a portal above the large buttonacross the gap.
Take the cube through a portalbehind you, using it to block incoming firefrom the other side of the test chamber.Place it on the button, thenuse a portal to go back where you just came from.Shoot the opposite color near the doorby peeking out, thengo through the exit door.
Still A Pacifist
This achievement is much easier, as all the turrets are placed in a way whereyou can appear behind them or next to them. Once you’re nearby, pick them up and put them in time-outby aiming their lasers into cornersaway from where you’re heading.
Be carefulnot to let the turrets in the second room get knocked overby the vacuum since you need to use it to get behind them. As long as the turrets don’t fall completely over, you should be able to pick them up and move them.Finish the test chamberto earn the achievement.
Sending A Message
In Chapter Two: The Default Route, there isa section titled ‘Bombs?‘where you’lluse a single portal to shoot explosivesat the different panes of glass to shatter them.
In the process of solving the puzzle, you’llenter the actual testing chamber, where you’ll see a ‘02’ sign.Shoot the portal on the wall opposite the signbefore a bomb is dispensed to destroy it, which will cue a sound clip from Stirling.
The Fun Solution
In Chapter Six’s ‘Vacuum Gel Bending’,use the orange gel and get a running startoff the ramp, thencontinue onto the elevator. In the next test chamber, get to the elevated areato the right of the entrance with a portal andstand on the button to activate the Vacuum Tube.
First, use the slanted wall, the Vacuum Tube, and the white gel to paint the tall wallwhite. Next, step off the buttonbefore youshoot a portal in the middle of the newly white walland the other under the blue gel. This will paint the middle platform blue.
Next, use the same method as before to paint the tall platform blue. Finally, shoot a portal on the wider wall and the other under the orange gelto create a runway.Shoot one portal on the slanted walland the other on the edge of the runway beforegetting a running startand going through.
The Boring Solution
Instead of bouncing back and forth, simplycoat the far wall in white, use a portal tocoat the middle platform with blue gel, and thenuse orange gel to get a running startthrough a portal on the lower wall. Theportal on the tall white wallshouldsend you to the middle platformand thenonto the exit rail walkway.
To get the Fingerprinter achievement, you’ll just need totouch five specific pieces of glass. The first one can be found in the last test of Chapter One’s ‘Advanced Cube Mechanics,‘across from the door you use to enterthe chamber.
You don’t need to complete each episode to unlock the achievement; just touch the glass, then move on.
After you turn off the giant fan andwalk through the next energy fieldin Chapter Two’s ‘Conveyors and Ventilators,‘walk on the air duct to the left of the turretto touch the window before turning back.
Progress towards the achievementmight not count until you touch the secondwindow.
In the first puzzle in Chapter Four’s ‘Power Switches’,place a portal on the extended wallandthe other on the groundnearby. Then, jump through towards the windowto get enough momentum to touch it.
In Chapter Six’s ‘Vacuum Tube Examination,’ solve the test chamber as normal, extending the light bridge through a portalon the high wall across from the cube dispenser. Jump down andfollow the bridge through the portalbeforejumping onto the glass.
The last window you need to touch is inthe Number 3 control roomduring the final level in Chapter Eight. You’ll need tograb a turret and place it near the windowbefore jumping on it and thenjumping again to touch the window.
