Genshin Impact’s annual Lantern Rite is here. As part of the celebrations, players will be able to use the game’s new Golden Carp’s Leap mechanic in a new minigame: Iridescent Cloud-Striding. This game takes you through the skies and mountains of Liyue as you pop Lanterns to earn points.
Lantern Rite takes place throughout February, and during this time, players will be able to claim lots of rewards by achieving Gold, or 3000 points, on every stage.

Where To Find Cloud-Strider
Each stage of Cloud-Striding is scattered throughout Liyue’s new area, being Cheyun Vale: Upper Vale and Chenyun Vale: Southern Mountain. It’s reccommended that you have most of the Teleport Waypoints activated before participating.
Here is how you can locate each stage:
The Golden Carp’s Leap
Golden Carp’s Leap is one of Cloud-Striding’s primary mechanics. It’s like Sumeru’s Four-Leaf Sigils: it allows you toteleport from one place to the next.
Once you are are within range, you can becomeabsorbed by the Golden Carp’s orb, then you need topoint and shootto where you want to go. The Golden Carp will shoot straight towards that point like an arrow.

How To Collect Lanterns
The main goal of Cloud-Striding is tocollect as many points as possibleusing Golden Carp’s Leap to pop lanterns.
Some Lanterns will give you points, while others will subtract points and hinder your progress.

These are the basic Lanterns you will find during the challenge:
Stage One
Location:Go to the Teleport Waypoint in Teatree Slope and go southwest. You can start the game by going to the glowing red Time Trial Challenge statue.
This stage is relatively simple. Your primary method of travel will be by using theGolden Carp’s Leap to shoot through the lanternsand by gliding around using wind currents until you’re within range of the Golden Carp’s orb.

When using the Golden Carp’s Leap, make sure toaim your character towards the lanterns. You will shoot out like an arrow, popping all the balloons in your path.
Stage Two
Location:Next to the Teleport Waypoint between Qiaoying Village and Mt. Lingmeng.
New lantern:Cunning Plan Crisis Adaptation. This lantern turns the Ominous Lanterns around it into Jade Lanterns, allowing you to score more points. Thankfully, most of the Crisis Adaptation Lanterns are placed right in front of the Goolden Carp orbs, so if you aim right for them, you’ll hit it.

This stage will pass relatively quickly because it consists mostly ofpoint and shooting to your destination using the Golden Carp’s Leap.By going straight from Golden Carp orb to another, you will quickly and effortlessly achieve gold.
Stage Three
Location:Teleport Waypoint east of Chizhang Wall.
New Lantern:Cunning Plan Pyrotechnical Amusement. This Lantern causes Firework Lanterns to appear in front of you. You will score double points from your next Golden Carp’s Leap.
This stage takes place predominately high above the ground, so verify that you are leaping quickly and accurately.Aim for the Fireworks Lanternsbecause they will pop all the surrounding Lanterns, granting you more points. You may have to wait for the Fireworks Lantern float into range of the Jade Lotus Lanterns before you Leap into them.

Stage Four
Location:Yaodie Valley.
This stage does not have any new Lanterns like before, so there aren’t going to be any new surprises this round.
You need toaim carefullyduring this stage because the rows ofLanterns tend to go at odd angles, If you aim too high or too low, you will only get some of them and miss out on a lot of points.

There are also a couplewind tunnelsthat you also need to watch your angle for. If you go too low, you won’t have a chance to correct yourself mid-air and you might have to run until you are within range of the next Golden Carp orb. If you shoot too high, you can drop down, but unless you time it perfectly, odds are you still won’t be able to get exactly where you want to go.
Stage Five
Location:On the cliffs between where Stage Three is held and Mt. Xuanlian.
The final stage involves a bitmore running than the other stages. You will have to follow the Lanterns on foot a few times, so keep track of where the Lanterns are leading you or you might get lost.

While you’re in the air,the game will deliberately try to throw you off course. If you don’t swiftly try to snap to the closest Golden Carp orb, you’ll shoot past it and out of range.
