If you’re ever arrested and jailed inDragon’s Dogma, you’ve had your items confiscated. For the Arisen, paying your way out – or escaping – means you’ll get your things back. For others? They might not see or get their things back for a long time, if they’re returned at all.
The former Magistrate Waldhar is enjoying being free and has returned to scholarly work, but he’s lacking a key item to make the task easier: his spectacles. After his arrest, they were taken away from him along with his other personal items, but they’re what he cares about most.
How To Start A Magisterial Amenity
To start this quest, you’ll first need to havecompleted its two prerequisite quests: the side quest,The Heel Of History, and the main story quest, A Caged Magister.
You need tocomplete The Heel Of History firstin order to fully progress through A Caged Magister.
If both of these are finished, go down into thelibrary beneath the Gracious Handafter sometime has passedsince both quests were completed, andspeak with Waldharin his work area.
He’ll ask you toretrieve his spectacles, and he’ll also give you a hint on how to get intoVernworth Hallto reach them.
How To Find Waldhar’s Spectacles
Waldhar’s spectacles are in thepalace storeroom inside Vernworth Hall, and to get into the Hall, you’ll need to be wearing theEventide Mask,Courtly Tunic,andCourtly Breeches, and you’ll need to enter the Hall on the daywhen a masquerade is occurring.
You can ask theguard outside the Vernworth Hallif a masquerade is occurring each day in the evening.
When you’re able to do so,enter Vernworth Halland head back around the curved hallways to theback of the building. Go into theroom in the bottom left cornerand look at theshelf next to the door.
Grab Waldhar’s spectacles off that shelf, then you canexit the masqueradeand headback to the library where Waldhar ison the same night.
Speak with him anddeliver the spectacles, and Waldhar will reward you with900 EXPand aWinter’s Pathtome.
