Throughout Embervale inEnshrouded, you will be able to find several Flame Shrines and Sanctums, as well as Shroud Roots that can be cut down. There are a lot in total, and prior to exploring new parts of the world, they will all be hidden from you.

Rather than charging in blindly, you may rely on us. In this guide, we are going to take a look at the location of every Flame Shrine and Sanctum, as well as every Shroud Root. Since there are a lot, we suggest placing down a marker at every location you visit, preventing you from going to the same place twice.

Enshrouded is currently in Early Access on Steam and as such, the content is subject to change. We will update these articles as required.

All Flame Shrine And Sanctum Locations

Flame Shrines and Sanctums are marked with the same icon on the map, which looks like alittle flame in a yellow diamond. Both locations yield Sparks, but Sanctums are larger structures with interiors while Shrines are smaller platforms that are usually found in the open.

Both locations can have a variety of other loot spread around, such as metal scraps or salt. When you visit, be sure to grab any loot and break any containers (vases, crates, etc.).

enshrouded shroud root locations

Enshrouded doesn’t have the most amount of landmarks, especially since the map only reveals itself once you visit that location. Overall though,Flame Shrines and Sanctums are quite common throughout the world, except the lower righthand corner of the map. They aren’t often hidden, and Sanctums sometimes have a path that leads directly to them.

If you are exploring theSpringlands or Revelwood, you may find a high concentration of these Spark-bearing altars by simply running around. Below, we’ve included how many Shrines and Sanctums that you can find near each Ancient Spire.

Flame Sanctums do not have any enemies outside, but from time to time, you may find a group of enemies nearby. If this is the case, you’re able to either sneak by or take them out. Remember, enemies respawn; if you visit a location and then come back the following day, there may be enemies there again.

As the Flame repels the Shroud, you willnot find these structures in the Shroud. You may, however, need tocross through the Shroud to reach a Shrine or Sanctum.

All Shroud Root Locations

Shroud Roots are Shroud-producing locations that are spread around Embervale as well. While they aren’t as common as Shrines and Altars, you can still find a decent amount of them. These roots we’ve marked arenot found within Elixir Wells; instead, you can find them spread throughout the world with many not being guarded by a boss.

Like Shrines and Altars, these roots don’t have specific names. We’ll list each Ancient Spire though, along with how many roots are found nearby.

Shroud Roots In Elixir Wells

Lastly, let’s look atShroud Roots found within Elixir Wells. These are found within the wells, typically at the very bottom. Additionally, the root isguarded by a mini-bossthat may be difficult to take down, especially in a Shroud-infested area.

Wells arevery noticeable from the surface;they are giant structures that look like arches from a distance, stretching down into the ground.

As we did for the other locations in this guide, you can find the Ancient Spires below, as well as how many Elixir Wells are in the vicinity.
