Exploring the far reaches of the world is one of the main things you’ll be doing inDragon’s Dogma 2, even if you’re just focusing on the main story. Sometimes it’s as simple as just going down the road to reach a new town, but sometimes you’ll need to take the path less traveled.

Agamen Volcanic Island is an island far from your start in Vermund, and unless you’ve progressed far enough, the shortest route to it is locked. You’ll need to go through Drabnir’s Grotto if you want to reach this volcanic land as soon as possible, and it’s well-known for being a dangerous place.

How To Find Drabnir’s Grotto

Drabnir’s Grotto islocated at the southeastern edge of Battahl, and it encompasses a rather large dungeon thatleads to Agamen Volcanic Island.

Due to thelength of travelwithout an inn and thenumber of enemiesin Drabnir’s Grotto, you’ll want tobring at least one Magewith Anodyne,healing items, alantern, and a camping set or two.

Whether you’restarting from Checkpoint Rest Townor Bakbattahl, you’ll want totake the large, main roadgoing through Battahl, andfollow it as far south as you can go.

At theedge of Battahl, you’ll end up in acanyon full of bandits and small, multi-floor homes, andat least one Armored Cyclops. If you’re in this area, you’re in theright spot and just need to continue following the roaduntil you reach the entrance of Drabnir’s Grotto.

you may get ashortcut into Drabnir’s Grottoand an easy trip to the Griffin’s Nest bykilling an Ox near the entrance, waiting for the Griffin to appear, and riding it back to its nest.

Inside thefirst room in Drabnir’s Grotto, you’ll haveseveral branching pathways into the wallsto the left and right and alarge pack of Knackersto kill.

Thepillars in the roomsand caverns can beknocked down by any attackand do damage to enemies and your party.

Thepathways ultimately lead to several treasure chestsand mining spots, but if youwant to make it to Agamen Volcanic Island first, head straight down to theend of the room and descend through the broken flooror go slightly past the hole andtake the safer path downto B2F.

On the second floor, you’ll haveanother long rectangular roomwith morebranching pathways, andseveral more Knackers to fighton the ground and in the wall pathways.

If you take the first wall pathway on your left when entering the second-floor room, you’ll reach a Griffin’s nest.

There’s achestcontaining Indomitable Armorinside, acampsite, anda fight with a Griffinif it’s there.

At theend of the second-floor room, you’ll come to acircular area with some Knackersand Rattlersto fight.

Rattlersfight similarly to Saurians, but with ahard shell that causes knockbackunless you hit their tails, but they can be dispatched quickly with aHeavy Attackwhen knocked overorby using Magic.

Take either patharound to a moreopen room with an unarmored Cyclopsto fight, thencontinue along the lamp-lit pathheading along the wall.Jump acrossto the other side, then take thepath going down to the rightto keep progressing.

Here, you’ll have to fight off several more Rattlersas youdescend again, and at the end of the room, you’ll have asmall rock wall to break throughwith a melee attack or spell.

You can alsokill all the Rattlers instantlyby breaking the blocked rocks blocking the waterfall at the top of the cavern.

From the other side of that wall, grabThe Exalted out of the nearby chest, then head down theone path to the rightand into onelast rectangular room.

Take out the last few Knackers hiding in the walls, thenexit through the door at the endof the room to finallyreach Agamen Volcanic Island.
