While you might be disposable inHelldivers 2, that doesn’t mean that you can’t take out some of the enemies with you before you go. Super Earth has tasked its soldiers with hunting down the persistentScout Strider, which serve as one of the Automatons' more annoying forces.

To take down these legions of robot forces, you’ll need to know where to find the planets that are home to the Automatons and which missions will make them appear. When you do start seeing them, identifying and aiming for the Scout Striders' weakpoints will be your ticket to eliminating all you need.

Where To Find Scout Striders

Since Scout Striders are piloted by robots, you’ll need togo to the planets that are dominated by the Automatons. You canfind these in the red parts of the Galactic War mapto the left of Super Earth, withthe colored name on the map border denoting the faction.

You’ll also have toplay missions on the Medium difficultyor higher, as theScout Striders won’t spawn on Easy. You’ll know you’ve spotted them thanks to theirdistinct shape of a rectangle on two legs, reminiscent of the AT-ST from Star Wars, but smaller.

How To Kill Scout Striders

Like some of the other tougher enemies in Helldivers 2, theScout Striders are next to invincible from the frontdue to the armor plating. Instead, you’ll need to eitheruse explosives to take out the legsorflank them and shoot out the pilot.

If you use a scoped weapon like the Marksman Rifle,you may be able to headshot the robot pilotfrom the front, peaking over the top. Elevation will help.

The pilots of the Scout Stridersseem to be standard infantry units, with the actual vehicle working as a mobile turret. All you need to do totake advantage is tosend a few bullets into the driverfrom one of the unprotected sides. Thedriver will fall off, andthe machine will crumblebefore disintegrating.

As with most monsters,explosives are also incredibly usefulagainst the Scout Striders. However,using your Strategems, and even grenades,can be better savedfor groups of enemies.
