There are several different ways to upgrade your crew inGranblue Fantasy: Relink. By slowly growing in power, you’ll be able to take on quests of increasing difficulty, gaining access to new enemies and even better rewards.
To unlock new nodes on your character’s Mastery tree, you’ll need Mastery Points, or MSP. You can get MSP from completing any quest in the game, but some quests reward more than others. If you’re looking to complete your Mastery trees and are running out of MSP, here’s everything you need to know about farming this resource.
How To Farm MSP
There are a few different ways you can reliably farm MSP, depending on your progress through the game. If you need MSP more than anything else, the best quest to undertake, by far, isSlimepede.
The Slimepede quest is unlocked after you progress toManiac Quest Difficulty. This quest is filled withnothing but Slime enemies, which drop tons ofRupies, EXP, and MSP. To complete the Slimepede quest, you just need tokill as many enemies as you canwithin thethree-minute time limit.
We recommend doing this quest with yourstrongest characters, as the Slimes can be difficult to kill quickly if your power rating isn’t very high. Additionally, level 100 characters will gain a bonus of100 MSP every time they level up again, further adding to your MSP gains.
In total, you’ll get around 800-1000 MSP per completion of Slimepede, making it one of the best spots to get MSP in the game.
AFK MSP Farming
If you get tired of Slimepede, or want to gather other resources on the side, you’re in luck. Using theAssault Formation! Extreme quest, you can rake in MSP and other materials with very little effort.
This strategy takes advantage of theFull Assistoption in the Gameplay settings, which will have your character automatically attack enemies and dodge attacks.
Assault Formation! is a Survival quest where you have tokill as many enemies as possiblewithinfour minutes. Luckily, Full Assist works very well here because the enemies will continuously run toward you, meaning you don’t have to do anything at all to kill them and start getting materials.
SlimesandKing Slimesalso appear consistently during this quest. Kill them to get a big chunk ofRupies, EXP, and MSP.
After you complete the quest once, turn on theRepeat quest optionand you’llautomatically repeat it ten timeswithout having to provide any input. While you only get between200 to 500 MSPafter one completion of Assault Formation!, it can be doneentirely AFK, unlike Slimepede.
You’ll also gain plenty ofMachine UnitsandHigh-Grade Scrap, which can beexchanged for Knickknack Vouchers, and subsequently newSigilsat Siero’s Treasure Trade.
Bring ranged characters like Eugen and Rackam; their range will allow them to attack the enemies more quickly as they approach you.
Folca Side Quests
After you reachManiac Quest Difficulty, two Side Quests will appear in Folca:Futureproof TradingandPresentproof Investing. Both of these quests reward700 MSPupon completion, but theycan be done as many times as you want.
For Futureproof Trading, you need to deliverfive Fire Shardsandfive Earth Shards. Similarly, Presentproof Investing will have you deliverfive Wind Shardsandfive Water Shards.
These elemental Shards can be farmed fromlow-level elemental bosses.
After you complete the side quest, it will be available again after you complete a quest from the Quest Counter. Alternatively, you caninstantly refresh the questby opening and closing Lyria’s Journalin the main menu.
This means that as long as you have the elemental Shards to spare, you can continuously complete these Side Quests and get tons of easy MSP.
