Last Epochis an ARPG with tons of variety. Each of the game’s 15 different classes have several builds to play, and mastering each of those is no small feat. If you want to find better items for your builds, you’ll want to look to one of the Factions you can join in Chapter 9.
There are two Factions you can join in Last Epoch, the Circle of Fortune or the Merchant’s Guild. You can only join one at a time, but the benefits of joining either Faction are massive. Below, we’ll take a look at how to earn Favor, the main currency used to upgrade your Factions and start earning better items.

What Is Favor?
Favor is a currency that is used to purchase things related to your chosen Faction.
For theCircle of Fortune, Favor is used topurchase itemsandLensesfrom Galila, andPropheciesat the Telescopes.

For the Merchant’s Guild, Favor is used whenever youtrade an itemto another player, orbuy an itemfrom another player.
Spending Favor at either Faction will also earn youReputation, which is used toupgrade the Faction’s rank. Both Favor and Reputation can be earned on any character and thisprogress is shared across all your characters.
You’ll need to make it to theKeeper’s Campbefore you may join a Faction and start earning its benefits.
How To Earn Favor
Favor is earned bycompleting quests and killing enemies. You get aroundone Favor per enemy killed, andtwo Favor if it’s a rare enemy.
Essentially, farming Favor means simplykilling lots of enemies. Because the requirements for earning Favor are so general, doinganything in the game will slowly build up this currency.Monoliths, Dungeons, and Empowered Monoliths are a few great ways to quickly stack up Favor, but you’ll see it slowly trickle in as you play the game.
