Firstly, you have the option tobribe one of the guards who pass by your cell. When you interact with them, they will ask for a demonstration of your “sincerity,” which essentially meansthey want half of your hard-earned in-game money.
If you’re willing to part with your money and opt to bribe them, you’ll get an easy way out of prison.
This option will always be available. However, the options below may not be accessible to youdepending on your cell, but we’ll discuss them nonetheless.
Look For A Pot
Sometimes, oddly enough,your cell room will contain a pot. While it may seem suspicious, it could hold your ticket to freedom. If youattack the pot,you might discover aMakeshift Gaol Keylying inside, waiting for you to pick it up.
With this key,you can unlock the cell door. Then, you have the choice tosneak out quietlyormake a run for it—it’s up to you.
Not every pot will contain the key, but it never hurts to try.
Look For A Suspicious Wall
In some cell rooms, you might noticea suspicious wall that you can attack. If you do so, it might reveala secret passage that typically leads outside the prison.
If you’re unsure which wall to target, try attacking all four walls, but usually,the weak wall will stand out.
During this journey, you might encounterattacks from bats or rats, so do be careful as you navigate the passage.

We do know that a Makeshift Gaol Key unlocks the cell door, but did you know that sometimescertain merchants will have it for sale? Yes, that’s right. So whenever you come across a merchant selling a Makeshift Gaol Key,be sure to stock up on it and keep it handy.
While all your gear and items disappear when you get arrested,key items remain in your inventory.So, if you have a Makeshift Gaol Key, it will accompany you to the gaol so you can use it to unlock the cell and make your escape.
Regardless of which method you use to escape the prison,all your gear and items will be returned to your inventory afterward,so there’s no need to worry about losing them.
