How Do You DIY Craft?

All your DIY Crafting takes placeat the crafting benchbetween Kasuga’s house and Matayoshi’s store.

However,DIY Craftingon Dondoko Island begins by gathering resources around the island, from raw materials to island specialties.

You’ll also passivelycomplete suggestion box requestsby gathering materials, thus earning you more Dokobucks.

There are a handful of key resources you’ll need to begin crafting:

Once youreach resort rank two, you’ll gain access to more scarce materials:glass and semiconductors.

Each day, you will receive anallotment of resources in the garagetucked between the DIY Crafting bench and Matayoshi’s shop.

You canfarm additional resources by clearing garbagepiles around the island, thus also reducing the cost of clearing those areas with Kenzo’s help.

Once you’ve gathered enough resources, head to theDIY Crafting benchand scroll through the options available.

As you hover over a furnishing, you cancheck what it costs to crafton the right side of your screen, along with how many of each resource you currently possess.

To craft an item, simply select it once you have enough resources, then watch the DIY cutscene magic play out.

If you want toexpand your crafting options, you’ll need to keep crafting items toincrease your Building Talent level.

What Is Building Talent?

Building Talentlevels, much likeFacility Rank at Julie’s Gearworks, requires you to level up by crafting to access more advanced DIY recipes.

Crafting items– particularly the more resource-demanding options –will level up your Building Talent level, and unlock more items to craft, thus creating a cycle of expanding DIY knowledge.

However, with so many items to choose from, you’ll want tocraft furnishings that encompass a variety of themesto keep your guests satisfied and increase your resort’s popularity.
