While Spore Spewers don’t damage you or your fellow Helldivers, these hellish, mushroom-like growths are still an enemy of democracy inHelldivers 2. They help conceal the Terminids on planets they control, making it almost impossible to see the land, and they may even be a part of how they make their nests.

We’re already fighting a tough, never-ending war against the Terminids across the galaxy, and even one more nest is another place for the Helldivers to clear out and casualties waiting to happen. For the sake of Super Earth, you and your fellow Helldivers can’t leave Spore Spewers standing.

How To Destroy Spore Spewers

Spore Spewers have ahealth pool similar to medium-sized enemies, like Brood Commanders and Berserkers, andany Support Weaponis capable ofdestroying them in a few shots.

The real danger of Spore Spewers comes fromhow much they obscure your vision, making it easy for Terminids of pretty much any size to sneak upon you, especially Stalkers and Chargers.

Spore Spewers will also bedefended by a handful of Terminidssuch asScavengers, Warriors, and often one to two Brood Commanders, and while they’lloften immediately call in a Bug Breach, it is very rare for a nest to be near one and cause additional issues.

If you see a Spore Spewer, the best tactic is toset up a Sentry to protect yourself, then hit it from medium range with a Support Weapon like aGL-21 Grenade Launcher,RS-422 Railgun, orAC-8 Autocannon.

You can also use more localized Stratagems like the Orbital Precision Strike to destroy Spore Spewers, but it’s better to save your Stratagems for the Terminids themselves.
