How To Find Annihilator Tanks
Playing Automaton faction missions on Suicide level or above will result in heavily armored enemy spawns, including the Annihilator tanks. You will frequently encounter Hulks patrolling with other foot soldier bots and the Annihilator tanks being dropped from the bot dropships.
The easiest way tofind the Annihilator tanks is to play Eradicate andEvacuate missionson Helldivedifficulty. One single dropship will bring a large and heavily armoredAnnihilator tank containing a cannon at the top, which also rotates 360 degrees,and a dual-barrel machine gunbelow it.
Even though theAnnihilator tank moves very slowly, it can kill you by running over you. The best course of action while trying to destroy the tank will be never to approach it from the front but from the sides and the back only.
How To Destroy Annihilator Tanks
Thecannon of the Annihilator tank rotates very slowly, and you can continue running at the tank’s back to hit its exposed heat sink, which glows with a yellow hue. However, if you approach the tank’s front, youwill be fired upon by the Annihilator tank’s high RPM machine guns.
Using high-powered weapons such asQuasar CannonandEAT-17 ExpendableAnti-Tank on the heat sinkwill blow the Annihilator tank. However, if you use stratagems such asEagle AirstrikeandEagle 500Kg Bomb, this will also blow up the tank to pieces.
Regardless of the stratagem choice,we findEagle 110MM Rocket Podsto be the best offensive stratagem in eliminating Annihilator tanks. Throw it at the top of the tank, and the Eagle fighter jets will drop rocket pods on the tank, blowing it up within seconds.
