WithLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealthlargely taking place in Hawaii, it makes sense that Ichiban and his party would have to fight a range of aquatic enemies never seen before in a title from the series. One of these nautical behemoths is the Giant Squid, which threatens your party in the finale.

While it might be a giant enemy, it can be taken out fairly quickly and without too much damage to your party if you prepare for the fight. That being said, the key is to reduce the number of attacks the Squid has by eliminating its options before it has a chance to strike.

How To Defeat The Giant Squid

TheGiant Squid gets three attacksif left unbothered, one from each tentacleand then another from the head of the monster.

If you canreduce the number of attacks that the monster has, then your party hasa much better chance of survivinglong enough to take out the whole monster.

If you go into the fight a few levels under theLvl. 48 Giant Squid, you’ll have a much harder timethan if you were a few levels over.

To that end, you shouldfocus on the tentacles on either side of the headbefore you attempt to take on the main monster, especially if you have attacks that are its weakness. Both tentacles and the headhave different weaknesses, soa varied party will also helpconsiderably.

Even when you do get rid of the Giant Squid’s tentacles,it will grow them back through its Regenerationskill, but it takes up one of its attacks to do so. If you’restaying on top of destroying the tentacleswith their weaknesses, thenyou’ll likely have plenty of openings.

TheGiant Squid has two skillsthat it uses outside its tentacles, using the nozzle on the top of its head. Through that,it will either try to make your party sick or blindthem.
