Lagon is the first difficult boss you’ll encounter inLast Epoch. Located in Chapter 7, The Might Of The Gods, you will be around level 50 when you first encounter this boss as part of the main storyline of the game. The boss fight takes place in Lagon’s Arena, the Seafloor Colosseum.
The boss has three main stages: the initial stage, with powerful stuns and a death laser, then the second phase, where you must avoid waves and fight crabs, and the final stage, which is a return to the first stage. Here’s a guide for all three stages.

Lagon uses primarilyColdandPhysicaldamage. If you are struggling with this boss fight, consider equipping someCold Resistancegear to help add some protection.
First Stage
In the first stage of the fight with Lagon, you’re able to’tdirectly damage the boss.Instead, you need to defeat his tentacles that spawn to theleftandrightof Lagon.
During this stage, Lagon has some key mechanics to watch out for.

Laser
During this attack, Lagon will fire a laser that will head in the opposite direction that boss is facing in - as an example in the image above, Lagon’s laser will move right to left. If he begins on the left of the screen, the laser will move left to right.
you may tell when Lagon is about to use this mechanic as the boss will lower its head to the level of the platform.

This is a difficult attack to avoid, although there are two safe spots during this phase.
All you need to do is head to thevery leftorrightof the available arena, tucked up against the rocks as demonstrated in the video above.

This boss battle is generally much easier if you play as a ranged character or as a summoner. Lagon will automatically attack your minions in some cases, especially if you have a minion with a high threat level. As a ranged character, you can tuck away in the corner and avoid the laser completely.
There is a variation of this attack when Lagon fires a single burst of laser. It’s a good idea to just move out of the way, predicting a laser- there isn’t a clear way to judge whether it will be a single shot or a beam, so best to just second-guess.

Claw Slam, Claw Grab
Lagon also has two attacks where he uses his claw - one slam, and one grab. These stun you in place, which combined with the laser can mean instant death.
You can tell Lagon is about to do this attack when he raises his arms up to the sides. Use yourTraversalskill to avoid this attack.
Second Stage
During the second stage of the boss fight, you will be transported to the center of the arena.
Here, you will need to avoid tentacles, waves, and crabs.
The waves dohugedamage, so it’s a good idea to hover in the middle of the arena, watching the edges of your screen for the waves. This should give you enough time to get out of the way. Use your Traversal skill if you think a wave will hit you.
The simplest way to die in this stage is to be stunned by a tentacle and then hit by a wave. This combo is enough to one-shot even a character with a decent health pool.
All you need to do in this stage issurvivelong enough to be teleported back up to the top platform. Tackle the tentacles if you’re able to.
Third Stage
The third stage is a repeat stage, the same as the first. Using the safe spots we mentioned above, this part of the fight should be relatively straightforward.
The only key difference between this stage and the first stage is the frequency of Lagon’s attacks - be wary of multiple claw grabs and slams, often arriving immediately after each other. Stick to the safe spots for the laser.
