Of all the disgusting monstrosities found withinSons of the Forest, few are as revolting and questionable as Holey. This nauseating nightmare is a large, blob-like mutant that earns its name from the grotesque orifices that make up its body.
Holey isn’t just a gross face though…actually, it doesn’t have a face. This monster can be pretty dangerous to most players who aren’t prepared for an encounter, and this guide will tell you everything you need to know if you ever face off with Holey.

What Does Holey Do
Holey is a dangerous mutantoften found on the surface of the forest. They often make their presence known through gross gurgling noises, making it a good idea tolisten if one is close. They typically travel alone and, like other mutants, can be drawn towards your base and are fully capable of causing some damage to it.
A Holey primarily hasthree distinct attacks that are used at different ranges, the first being a quick swipe with their body once you’re too close.

For their second attack, Holey will charge at the player if they areat a mid-range distance, knocking the player over in the process. Their third attack is arguably the most dangerous andfrom the furthest distance, where Holey will leap into the air and crash down towards the player, damaging anything near it.
How To Fight Holey
Taking care of Holey is all aboutkeeping distance and spacing in mind, so usinglong-distance weaponry and bombswould be the safest route in this encounter. Though it doesn’t look like it, Holey is quick at closing the distance between itself and you, so you should always be mindful of what attack it will use next.
When Holey is going to charge, it’ll start stomping the ground like a bull before rushing forward. This move is quick, so back up andstrafe away to the sideas soon as you see the stomp animation to avoid being slammed. The jump attack can be tricky to notice, as it simply crouches slightly before leaping towards you.
Due to its speed, dodging this attack is difficult. Just try to be mindful of your distance and always move from side to side.
Keep in mind that Holey will be stunned for a moment after this attack, leaving you witha window for safe melee attacks or planting traps next to it.
It is also worth noting thatHoley’s jump attack allows it to leap over any defensive wallsyou may have at your base, so have your battle outside your home to avoid any collateral damage.
