While the original Dragon’s Dogma had you travel the world aplenty, there wasn’t much in terms of exploration. You were guided to most locations and the world was primarily a linear path. That’s changed withDragon’s Dogma 2, with the world stretching out in all directions.

One such location you can reach is Harve Village, down by the coast of Vermund. It is a quaint little village, though one beset by Saurians. The village lies abandoned and it’s your job to save it. Though finding Harve itself and seeing it restored toits former glory is a task that might take you a while.

Reaching And Saving Harve Village

To first unlock the Scaly Invaders quest, you must find Harve Village itself. Seeing as it is such a small town, it is more than likely a location you will stumble across by chance on your adventures rather than intentionally seek out from the distance.

Since the map of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is only uncovered as you explore it, directions are the only means for you to locate undiscovered areas.Starting from Vernworth, take the western exit and keep traveling west, keeping along the coast where possible. If you keep in that direction, taking brief detours to cross the river, you will eventually come upon Harve Village.

Once you approach Harve, the Scaly Invaders quest will instantly activate. It tasks you with simply defeating the Saurians that have invaded the desolate Harve. Dispatch them, and you will be approached by the Beastren Fyoran who will thank you for your aid, and ask that youreturn in a few daysto see Harve restored.

While you are here, make sure to follow the path behind the village and to a small fisherman’s shack. There will be aPortcrystalhere that will let you useFerrystonesto return at a moment’s notice.

Returning To Harve Village After A Few Days

There are many quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that will ask you to wait a few days before they can progress. For Scaly Invaders, however, this takes many days. While your Pawns will typically inform you once a quest-giver is ready to be returned to,there is a much higher chance for Scaly Invaders that they simply won’t. As such, you must make the effort to revisit yourself.

Returning every in-game week or so is a good measure, as days pass by much faster than you might expect, especially if you are walking to every location. You will know that Harve Village is ready as many more people will be present.

Upon your return, though, even more Saurians have invaded Harve, and Fyoran again requests your help. As before, simply defeat the Saurians, and Fyoran will thank you for your aid.

At this point, the human Jonas will appear and pin the blame on the beastren Zoran for accidentallyluring Saurians from the nearby Stormwind Cave. Fyoran will be furious for the racial accusations Jonas makes and demands the issue be put behind them.

A not-so-fun fact: Jonas will accuse you of also wanting to sabotage Harve Village if you are a beastren.

At this point, Fyoran thanks you again, rewards you with 5,000 gold and sixSaurian Scales, and asks you to visit again. With this, the Scaly Invaders Quest is complete.

The Results Of Scaly Invaders

The state of Harve Village changes depending on the completion of Scaly Invaders and other related quests, as you can see below.

Before Scaly Invaders

When visiting Harve for the first time, the village is empty save for the Saurian and Fyoran. It is a decrepit place with no shops or the means to rest. You can still activate and use the Portcrystal behind town, however.

A section ofthe Monster Culling questalso takes place in the Stormwind cave of Harve, and it is recommended that you complete it to speed along the village’s restoration.

After Scaly Invaders

After Scaly Invaders is completed, the village is much more populated, andthe apothecary reopens. Many of the buildings, unfortunately still lie in ruins

Sigurd can also be found in the Coastal Huton the hill after the events of the Readvent Of Calamity quest.
