One of the main selling points forEiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroeshas been the ability to recruit the number of heroes mentioned in the title. However, you’re able to only have up to six active heroes in your party at any given time, which leads to the necessity of having to switch them around.

Unfortunately, you can’t just press a button to go to a certain menu and switch your team around when it comes to this game. Instead, you’ll either have to find your way to certain places or have specific support units in your team.

How To Change Your Team Members

When you first start playing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you likelywon’t need to use this feature much since the team members you get are quite limited. However, once you get to the main part of the game, you’ll be showered with recruits left and right, leaving you overwhelmed as you attempt to choose the right units for your team.

The main way to change your party members is by heading over to one of the innkeepers. When you talk to an innkeeper, you’ll get the option to Stay, Save, and Form Party. Another way to do this is by talking to Ymir if you’re nearby. However, he might not always give you the option to switch your units.

Sometimes, the quest dialogue ends with afew people staying behindas you take the rest to the next part.

If you get to select your team at any point during these quests, you may likely customize them again bytalking to one of the people who are staying behind.

After progressing a little in the game, you can also get specific supports like Cassandra whogives you the ability to switch your party at any save point in the dungeons. You can only have one support character in your party, so choose wisely.

What Does Each Aspect Of Your Team Signify?

While you’re in the team customization screen, you’ll have the ability toplace your characters in four different types of slots. Here’s what each of these symbolizes:

Front

The units placed in this part will be featured on the front row during the battle. You’d wantunits with high physical and magic defense here.

Rear

These characters will appear on the back line during the battle, whichprevents them from being damaged by various enemies. Keep in mind that if you have a character in the back line but no character in front of them, they’ll automatically appear in the front position.

Support

You can get a special passive effect by putting a character in the support slot. Apart from the effect mentioned above, you can alsoget increased inventory space or higher gathering efficiency effects here, among many others.

Attendant

These slots are reserved for people who you need to keep in your party to continue the storybut don’t particularly want to use them in combat. You can simply put them in the Attendant slot and they’ll appear during cutscenes.
