Combat is one of the main mechanics inArk: Survival Ascended. You’ll be fighting wild dinosaurs, massive bosses, and even other players if you’re into PVP, but you don’t want to go in bare-handed most of the time. If you want to fight well, you’re going to need some weapons.
Ark has a variety of weapons to fit every playstyle, whether you’re someone who enjoys the thrill of up-close melee combat or you like to sit back with a long-range weapon and avoid the center of attention. How To Craft Wood-Tier Weapons
Wood, and by extension Stone, tier weapons are thefirst ways to defend yourselfavailable in the game, and all of themcan be crafted in your inventory.
Theywon’t be doing much damage, but they’llhelp keep you safeuntil youreach the next tier of weaponsavailable.

How To Craft Metal-Tier Weapons
Metal-tier weapons, such as the Crossbow, areall crafted within the Smithy, which can beunlocked at level 20 with 18 Engram Points.
Metal-Tier Weapons can also becrafted at an Argentavis or Castoroides equipped with their particular saddles, which bothdouble as a mobile smithy.
You’ll needaccess to Metal Ore and a Furnaceto be able tosmelt the Metal Ingots neededtocraft the majority of the weaponry.

Tek Engramsdon’t need points to unlock, and can becrafted at any leveldespite needing advanced materials for them.
You’ll need theTek Replicator to craft them, which willautomatically unlock for you upon your first boss kill, regardless of which one it is or which Tek engrams it unlocks.
