When it comes toThe Sims 4, there’s plenty of fun to be had. From raising your own family to rising to the top of the corporate ladder, it’s up to you what you want your Sims to accomplish. But, after completing the most difficult tasks, it can be tough to find something to do.
That’s what challenges are here for. There are tons of challenges created by the community for Sims fans to take part in, from popular ones to the most obscure ones. The Zombie Aftermath challenge makes great use of the Strangerville pack, making a creepy but satisfying legacy challenge.

Zombie Aftermath Challenge Rules
TheZombie Aftermath challenge, created originally by Cannibalcupcake for The Sims 3 and updated for The Sims 4 by Prismauke, lets your Sims survive a zombie apocalypse. It makes use of theStrangerville pack, along with Seasons, Get Together, Outdoor Retreat, and Jungle Adventure.
If you don’t have every one of these packs, you’re able to still enjoy this challenge. The only one completely necessary is Strangerville, as it includes the world and the Sims that act as zombies.

There areno mods allowedin this challenge. You’re also not allowed to use any money cheats or skill cheats. All skills must be gained on your own. You also cannot alter relationships using cheats either. Apart from the initial money cheat to set household funds, avoid cheats for the entire playthrough.
How To Start Zombie Aftermath Challenge
Begin bydemolishing all the lots in Strangerville. You’ll want toevict every household, as well. This will leave just possessed Sims, who act as zombies.Choose any lotyou’d like to play on, although a large lot will allow you to build a bigger camp. Then, build a largefence that encompasses your entire lot.
Once the lot has been chosen and the fence built, it’s time to create your starting family. You needa young couple to begin. They can be any race and appearance that you’d like. While most of the traits are randomized, there are some traits you’ll need.

Traits Needed For Zombie Aftermath Challenge
You’ll need each Sim in your legacy to haveat least one of these traitsto survive:
These traits are onesnone of your Sims can haveor else they will be killed by the zombies:

Once your young adult couple has been made, place them on your chosen lotand use cheats toset their household funds to 1,000Simoleons. This marks the beginning of the Zombie Aftermath Challenge, which includes five generations.
you’re able to open the cheat console by hittingCtrl + Shift + C, then type “money 1000” to set the household funds to exactly 1,000 Simoleons. This is the only cheat you can use during the entire challenge.

Each goal in the current generation allows you toearn points for rewards. These rewards can be anything from extra items for survival to perks like being able to shower at any time to unlocking counters and fridges. Each reward costs a certain amount of pointsbefore you can unlock it.
Choose from survival traits

Freelance Botanist, angling ace, or Outdoor Enthusiast (must complete aspiration)
Other Goals
The challenge begins with Sims who have seen the zombie apocalypse begin. Thisyoung couple is only able to escape with a single backpackfull of items. These items are:
These items are all you’re allowed to begin with. From here, you Sims need to attempt to make a life in the midst of a horrible apocalypse. They will need tohave at least one child, and they’llneed to stay in the camp(the fenced-in lot) for the majority of the time.

Beginning in Stage Zero, your home base lot must be Off The Grid. The power grid has been shut off, so there is no electricity available. Use the Off The Grid lot trait on your camp to make sure no electrical items work.
Rewards For Stage One
These are theavailable rewards for Stage Zero, along with how many points are needed to unlock them:
Reward
Points needed
Indoor Shower (Sims can only shower between 2 PM and 6 PM)
3 packs of seeds
1 survivor can be added to the camp
1 electrical item can be placed on the lot
Renaissance Sim (must complete aspiration for +5 points)
Doctor (must master career for +5 points)
This stage begins when theyoungest child from Stage Zero is a young adult. This Sim grew up entirely during the apocalypse, so they can only dream about what society used to be. They hear from their parents about what civilization used to be and want to rebuild it.
Things are safer now, with a secure camp keeping out zombies. Thisallows your Sim to pursue knowledge, and become a doctor. Your Sim, however, makes no time for connections by only having one child and no spouse. Make sure to put work into building up your skills instead of relationships.
Stage One Rewards
These are therewards you can earn in Stage Oneby earning enough points:
Take a shower whenever you want
1 stove can be placed on the lot
2 survivors can be added to the camp
1 workbench can be placed on the lot
1 chessboard can be placed on the lot
21 Points
Luckilyyou don’t need to earn all the points separately. Once you earn enough points for the first reward, you keep those points as you work your way up. This makes it a little more manageable to unlock all the perks.
Random (Must have family-oriented if female)
Bodybuilder (must complete aspiration for +6 points)
Military (must master career for +5 points)
Like the previous generation, Stage Two begins when the youngest child in the family grows into a young adult. When this stage begins, after years of no contact, the army finally shows upto bring order back. Your Sim is determined to find out what they’re up to.
This generation has your Sim focusing on their physical skills. Make sure not to neglect them, but you’ll need tobalance it with spending time with your family. It will be slightly easier to find a spouse since your Sim will meet them at work.
This generation is also when more electricity is available. You canremove the Off The Grid trait, but verify to follow the rules of how many electronics you may use at once. If you go over, you’ve failed the challenge.
Stage Two Rewards
These are therewards available for completing Stage Twoof the Zombie Aftermath Challenge:
2 electronic items can be added to the lot
Unlock counters and fridges
1 hobby item can be placed on the lot
2 bookcases can be placed on the lot

It’s finally revealed what the military has been up to.They’re going to bomb Strangervilleto keep the zombies under control. Jackals and thieves are raiding the town, and anyone who doesn’t join the gang will be robbed.
This stage adds a bit of chaos to the generations. There are tons of criminals running around, and your Sim gets to be one of them. verify tomake all your friends with coworkers, as they are the gang your Sim is in.
The most important thing to focus on at this stage is to bond with your child, so you can be sure to pick one of their traits as they get older. This will let you choose from one of the required traits.
3 electronic items can be added to the lot
Add a kitchen shelf and counter
3 hobby items can be placed on the lot
18 Points
While they take the most points, getting lots of hobby items on your lot makes it far easier to earn skill points.Getting higher skill levels means you earn more points, in turn unlocking more of the rewards. It’s a wonderful cycle.
Nerd Brain (must complete aspiration for +6 points)
Scientist (must master career for +5 points)
The final stage in the challenge is all aboutcreating a vaccine. The city is much safer now thanks to the military, and your Sim wants to save the rest of the world by curing it. This stage will last as many generations as it takes to produce a vaccine.
This stage isone of the most difficult, solely because of the randomized chance of your Sim living or becoming a zombie. There is a high chance your Sim will pass away before completing the vaccine. This is why it is best to have children first, so they can continue the research as a backup in case your Sim perishes.
Stage Four Rewards
These areall the rewards you can earn during Stage Four, and how many points they take to unlock:
1 sink can be added to the lot
Add more kitchen shelves and counters
Able to leave the camp without danger
15 Points
