Dragon’s Dogma 2is an epic adventure with an unusual finale, provided you have the witsto unlock the true ending. If you do, you’ll be welcomed to several more hours of quests and content to complete, including helping the new Regentkin, Sven, to evacuate Vernworth and save his people.
Upon your return to Vernworth, you’ll find many things have changed aside from the dark, red gloom that hangs over the land during the true ending. Sven is the one in charge now, and you’ll have to convince him to evacuate the people of Vernworth before it’s too late.

How To Start The Regentkin’s Resolve
After you’ve triggered the game’s true ending and find yourself in a much redder, more gloomy version of the world,return to Vernworth to check in on things.
When you return, head to theStardrop Inn and seek out Captain Brantfirst.

Captain Brant will get you up to speed on the latest news in Vernworth, notablySven’s appointment as the new Regentkin.
Brant will tell you to head to the Vernworth Castle and speak with Sven, thusbeginning The Regentkin’s Resolve.
After speaking with Sven, your two main goals are clear:
Convincing Disa
The first thing to get done is the conversation between Disa and Sven, sohead over to Disa’s roomand speak with the person outside her door.
Ignoreany warnings to go awayand enter Disa’s room, though she isn’t in a particularly chatty mood.
Grab theOrnate Boxfrom the shelf behind Disa – you’ll see itglowing.
Once you have theOrnate Box, bring it back to Sven, andhe’ll open it to discover a letter inside from Disa.
The letter will prompt a conversation between Disa and Sven in which Disa finally acquiesces to Sven’s plan and encourages him to go along with the evacuation.
Acquiring The Oxcarts
Head over to theoxcart merchant at the west gate of Vernworthand approach him to find out he just sold off the last of his carts to some rich fellow – Allard.
Allard is simply an obstacle in your path to acquiring the means to safely evacuate the people of Vernworth, so there’s no shame in getting a bit aggressive with him.
Grab Allard and hold him down for a moment or two, then release him. He will spout nonsense about sparing him, and then he willrun off, leaving the oxcarts to you.
Speak to the Oxcart merchantonce more to confirm that the oxcarts are now yours.
Return to Svenand inform him of your success in acquiring the oxcarts to evacuate Vernworthto receive your reward.
What Rewards Do You Get From The Regentkin’s Resolve?
Once you’re back in Sven’s chambers, you’ll be bequeathed your fantastic rewards:
Thehefty number of rare Wyrmlife Crystalswill be extremely useful fortrading with the Dragonforged, especially once he expands his inventory in the endgame/into NG+.
Gold is always a valuable resource, but becomes even more useful for buying the best gear in Dragon’s Dogma 2 from the vendors.
Vendors will update their inventorieswith the best possible gear starting at the end of NG, so look out for more options for purchase in NG+.
