As you make your way through the beginning areas ofLast Epoch, you’ll need to reach Keeper Balthas, who is in the Keepers' Vault. This requires you to finish the Keeper Vault Quest, which is a mainline quest that begins once you enter the Keepers' Vault, completing your previous quest as well.

The quest can be challenging and requires you to navigate the dungeon, which can take some time, especially as you tackle the beginning challenges. As you work through the quest and know where to go, you may make your way to the next section in the game.

Enter The Shard Chamber, Speak With Keeper Balthas

Once you enter the keepers' Vault, you’llfollow the path left or right, then go down the stairs, where you’ll fight the Forge Soldier.

Theright side has a Shrinethat will give you temporary stat boosts.

Fighting the Brightblade Palarus, who is preparing a powerful attack in Last Epoch.

This mini-boss is straightforward with a few fire attacks. This includes aspinning fire attack that deals constant damage around it, shooting fireballs and dashing forward.

As you use your most powerful moves alongside Health Potions, it should go down quickly. Make your waynortheast through the golden door, where you’ll encounter Keeper Balthasand talk with him.

Survive Osprix Assault, Speak With Keeper Balthas Again

Waves of Osprix will attack you, along with some Eyes of Rahyeh. As you fight them off,Keeper Balthas will stick to the middle-left side of the arena, so stay close and protect him until the Brightblade Palarus appears.

Its attacks mostly consist of double sword strikes, though it does have an attack that it telegraphs bymaking a glowing circle appear on the ground. Immediately leave the circle since it’ll deal tons of damage when the attack fires.

You’ll be rewarded with plenty of loot upon victory.Talk with Balthus afterwards; he’ll instruct you to leave the Keepers' Vault and will follow you.

Avoid teleporting back to townduring this section. You’ll have to repeat the Osprix Assault - though you could use this to get more gear.

Escape The Keeper Vault

You’ll begin bytraveling northwest down a set of stairsand take either path in the next room to make your way north. The hallway will wrap around, sotake the fork north, then follow it and take the south bridge.

Fight off the enemies in the room, thenfollow the southeast path. Go past the tree, continue east, and fight off enemies in the next room.

If yougo south, then west, you’ll find the Keepers' Contingency chest. Follow the path northeast, where you’ll travel to The Northern Road.

Speak With The Keeper Guard, Return To Keeper’s Camp

Once you enter the new area, you’ll follow a single path, where you’llcross a wooden bridge and encounter the Keeper Guard. Upon talking with the Keeper Guard, you’ll get a cutscene where Haruspex Orian kidnaps Keeper Balthas.

You’ll speak with the Keeper Guard again and will be prompted to return to Keeper’s Camp. You can do so byusing the teleporting point you passedbefore the bridge or byusing a Town Portal.

Travel northwestwhen you return to town andtalk with Keeper Leena. Once you go through the dialogue options, you’ll complete the quest and gain a Passive Point and 30 Experience Points.
