Escape from Tarkov’sGunsmith tasks are like gifts that keep on giving, in the sense that they’re never-ending. This is Gunsmith Part 3, which you will get at the same time as Gunsmith Part 2, and you may choose to do them in whatever order you wish. However, to unlock access to Gunsmith Part 4, you must complete both.
Gunsmith Part 3 is where things start to get a little complicated. Unless you’re lucky enough to find the parts you need in-game, you will need reputation level two with a couple of traders to access them. Whether you take an enemy down to find these parts or loot them from a weapon box, here’s how to complete Gunsmith Part 3.
How To Modify The MP5
To echo what was said before, this is where modding a weapon gets a little complicated for newcomers. You’ll have to do a bitmore than replace some attachments. But first, here’s what modifications Mechanic wants to be done to an MP5:
Now, compared to the previous two tasks,this one requires more time to obtain the parts needed, and there are more steps to create the weapon Mechanic wants. So, with the instructions in mind, let’s focus on how to convert an MP5 to hand it in for the task.

Once you obtain all the parts needed, this will explain why modding the MP5 for this task is more complicated. You’ll have toreplace the standard MP5 receiver and handguard with the new MP5SD version.
Then, you can attach the suppressor and the ring mount. The laser goes on the ring mount and the mag can be installed at any point. You are essentiallybuilding a new weapon. Don’t worry, it’s not difficult, just more involved than what you’ll be used to compared to the other two tasks.
