How To Complete All Gus’s Party Challenges
Gus’s Party: The Ninja Vs Winged Ones
For the first challenge, you’ll play asYuffiealone, tasked with defeating both enemies, which are two relatively easyValronenemies.
Focus on taking down onebefore moving on to the other. Begin bythrowing Yuffie’s Shurikenat the enemies to initiate combat, then, use her Ninjutsu abilitiestobuild up the staggereffect on the enemy beforeunleashing your abilities to defeat them. Repeat this process for the second enemy, and you should be able to dispatch them quickly.

Gus’s Party: The Flower Seller Vs Fireballs
For the second challenge, you’ll play asAerith, tasked with defeatingtwo Bombenemies. While Aerith may not have the best defense, her magic abilities are more than capable of handling them. The key here is tofocus on one enemy at a timeandtry to dodge the Bomb’s ranged attacks.
If you inflict enough damage while they are breathing fire, they will become pressured, making it easier to build up the stagger effect.

Be cautious, as when theBomb reaches low HP, it will enter an Explosion Imminent state andmay attempt to use self-destruct, dealing significant damage. Therefore, it’s advisable tohave a Healing materiaequipped just in case.
Gus’s Party: The Gunner Vs Wind Sages
In the third challenge, you’ll controlBarret, who serves as a tank, reducing the need to worry about incoming attacks. Your objective is todefeat two Zemzeletts.
At the start of the encounter, once your first ATB gauge charges, activate Barret’s Steelskin ability. This willincrease your resistance to both physical and magic damage, reducing the likelihood of being interrupted while attacking enemies.

Afterward, swiftly focus your attacks on one enemy at a time, initiating with Barret’s Overcharge ability. From there, the fight should become easy.
Gus’s Party: The Pugilist Vs The Undertaker
The fourth challenge requires you to play asTifaand defeat aModded Sweeper, which isn’t particularly difficult. When facing the Sweeper, your primary focus should be onbreaking both of its arms to quickly build up the stagger meter.
As youincrease your Chi level using Unbridled Strength, aim to reach Chi level three. This way, when your enemy is staggered, you canutilize Tifa’s triangle abilities to raise the stagger multiplier damageand dispatch your enemy swiftly.
Gus’s Party: The Merc Vs Bloodstained Jester
They’ve saved the toughest challenge for last, asCloudfaces off against the mini-boss, theJoker, in the final trial.
The Joker isvulnerable to wind attacks, so it’s wise to equip Cloud with a Wind materia spell to apply pressure.
Additionally, focus onevading the Joker’s Soul Sucker attack, as this willautomatically put him in a pressured state.
Take this battle slowly, prioritizing defense, anduse Cloud’s Focused Thrust to quickly build up the stagger meter. Once the Joker is staggered, unleash as many abilities as possible, and if your limit gauge is full, don’t hesitate to useit for a swift finish.
If you find any of the challenges too difficult, remember that you can switch to Easy difficultyfor an easier experience while still completing the quest.
Upon completing all five challenges, the quest will conclude, rewarding you withEXP, Party EXP, Way of the Fist Vol. VI,andcausing a change in your relationship with Tifa.
