Lego Fortnite’s Sandbox mode allows you to build up your village and explore without the dangers of Survival Mode. You’ll have access to all the build and crafting recipes already, as well as infinite resources to build with. In Sandbox mode, you get to let your creativity run wild and build whatever you want using the resources available to you.
When the Gone Fishin' update arrived, a bunch of new Lego Fortnite quests were added, including the Freeplay Quests. These quests introduce you to some of the mechanics only available in this creativity mode, and must be completed in a Sandbox World.
How To Complete Freeplay Quests
Building in a Sandbox World not onlygives you room to be creativeand build up a village exactly how you want it to be, it also gives you a space to try out builds that you may want to use in Survival Modewithout wasting a ton of resources.
These Freeplay Quests introduce you to building with Dynamic Platforms and Thrusters, which arewhat you need to build a vehicle, as well as certain abilitiesyou only have in the Sandbox mode.
In total, there aresix quests to be completedin a Sandbox World, and here’show you can complete them all.
Guide
Build a Dynamic Platform in a Sandbox World.
Go into your build menu in your Sandbox world andunder Toys, select theDynamic Platformrecipe, then place it on the ground in front of you.
Build Balloons, Thrusters, or Wheels on Dynamic Platforms in a Sandbox World.
Build a total of 12Balloons,Thrusters,or Wheelson Dynamic Platforms in a Sandbox World when crafting a plane or car.
Complete a Shogun Palace build in a Sandbox World.
The Shogun Palace builds are unlocked in the Frostlands on Survival Worlds.In a Sandbox World, you’ll already have access to the builds.Place and complete just oneto complete the quest.
Add Creatures to your inventory in a Sandbox World.
Open your Inventory, and under the All Items tab,navigate to Creatures, then select any Creatures to add to your inventory.You’ll need to add six of themto your inventory to complete the quest.
Use the Fly ability in a Sandbox World.
Double-tap your jump buttonto enter Fly mode and fly around the map. You only need to do this once to complete the quest.
Use an Activation Switch in a Sandbox World.
Craft an Activation switch for a device you’re building in a Sandbox World andactivate it three timesto complete the quest.
Complete all Freeplay Quests to earn15,000 experience towards the Battle Pass.
