While you can rely on inns and campfires to rest your head inDragon’s Dogma 2, it doesn’t measure up to getting your first real home inside the game. Thankfully, there’s a simple quest that can end with you owning a new home inside the capital city of Vernworth.

While, like many quests, it’s a chance encounter while wandering the streets, it’s easier to find once you know the specific NPC to look out for. Mildred and her house are easy to find once you know where to look, with a permanent marker on the map always showing you where it’s located.

How To Find The ‘A Place To Call Home’ Quest

While walking thestreets of Vernworth, a woman in billowy clothes and a flat hat will stop you for a conversation. Hername is Mildred, and she’ll tell you of her travels across the land thatleaves her house abandonedand in need of a tenant while she’s away.

you’re able to follow her or go to her house later,located on the Vernworth city mapunder a bannerin the ‘Common Quarter’thatreads ‘Mildred’s Dwelling.’

A Place To Call Home Quest Walkthrough

Once you’re given the quest, you’ll only need toproceed to Mildred’s Dwellings, where she’ll react with surprise that you’ve shown up.Proceed through the dialogueuntil Mildred tells youshe’ll be gone for around a weekof wandering before she comes back.

In that time, you canuse the house to rest and use the storage box, which functions exactly like an inn.

you may play and pass the time like normal, asyou’ll get a notification when Mildred has finishedwandering.

When Mildred comes back,she’ll be waiting outside the hometo speak with you. When you talk to her, she’ll tell you about her travels and inform you thatshe intends to sell the house for 20,000 Gold, which is no small sum.

If youhave the money and wish to purchasethe house, you’re able to do so right then.

This will alsoaward you the ‘A House? In This Economy?’ achievementonce you’ve purchased the home if it is your first.
