Siegfried is an Earth-element character inGranblue Fantasy: Relink, and the captain of the Order of the Black Dragons. Wielding a massive greatsword, Siegfried can move around the battlefield with surprising agility, delivering expertly timed attacks to devastating effect.
Siegfried is an incredibly strong character, with options for tons of damage or survivability, depending on how you build him. Below, we’ll take a look at the best way to build Siegfried, including details on his Skills, Over Mastery stats, Weapon, and Sigils.
Skills
Depending on what role you want Siegfried to perform, there are several different Skills to choose from. From a pure,damage-focused perspective, we recommend using the following four Skills.
These Skills are great for dealing the most possible damage with Siegfried, but you may want toswap in some utility Skillswhen needed for harder difficulty fights. In fights with high-damage attacks like Bahamut Versa,Miragecan be extremely useful to have for your whole party, as it willincrease everyone’s Defense by a massive 75 percent.
Additionally,Salvatoris a great Skill to have that can let you and your partycompletely ignore all Debuffs, as well asrestore health with each attack. Salvator pairs nicely with Sigil Traits like Improved Healing, and turns Siegfried into a respectable healer.
Over Mastery
For Siegfried’s Over Mastery stats, you’ll want to prioritize the following stats.
Normal Damage Cap Up is the number one priority, increasing the maximum damage of all your normal attacks, while Skill Damage Cap Up does the same but for your Skills. Besides these two, anyoffensive statsyou can get will be great, with Skill Damage Up and Critical Hit Rate Up being the best of the bunch.
Weapon
There are three main weapons you can use with Siegfried depending on your progress through the game:Windhose, Ascalon, and Balmung, for early, mid, and late endgame use, respectively.
Windhose, Siegfried’s Executioner-type weapon, has good stats andWeak Point DMG, which greatly increases the damage you deal to a boss’s weak points. However, Windhose is quicklyoutclassed by Siegfried’s Ascension Weapon, Ascalon.
Ascalon’s built-in ATK Trait is necessary for reaching the damage cap before you’ve fully upgraded everything else, making it a great choice until you get Siegfried’s strongest weapon, Balmung.
Balmungis Siegfried’s Terminus Weapon. In most cases, these are thestrongest weapons for every characterin the game, making them a priority to get for Siegfried as well. However, getting the weapon to drop can be time-consuming, so stick with Ascalon until you get it.
Sigils
For Siegfried’s Sigils, you’ll want to focus onincreasing his highest possible damagewhile slotting in utility and other nice-to-have Traits where you can.
Explanation
Damage Cap V+ x4
These four Damage Cap Sigils increase the maximum damage your attacks can do, and are necessary for dealing as much damage as possible.
War Elemental x1
War Elemental makes all damage strong against the enemy’s elemental type, regardless of the user’s Elemental type.
Supplementary Damage V+ x2
Two level 15 Supplementary Damage V Sigils will give you a70% chance to trigger Supplementary Damagewith each attack. Supplementary Damage is essential because it lets youbypass the damagecapby adding another instance of damage to your attacks.
Critical Hit Rate V+ x2
These Sigils will greatly increase the chance for your attacks to dealCritical Hits, improving overall damage.
Dragonslayer’s Awakening x1
Siegfried’s unique Awakened Sigil combines the effects of his other two unique Sigils, freeing up another Sigil Slot.
Both of these Traits are great, allowing you toshorten cooldownswith perfectly timed attacks whileboosting defenseat the same time.
Tryanny V+ x2
Tyranny Sigils greatly increase ATK at the cost oflowering Max HP, but the rate that the Sigil lowers Max HP stays the same at each level, making this a very efficient way to boost your ATK without sacrificing too much.
With each of these Sigils, you’ll also have random secondary Traits. Prioritize the following Traits on your Sigils.
All of these Traits are good, so try to get the ones that you enjoy using the most. For example,Drain, Regen, and Potion Hoarderare great if you find yourself lackinghealingor if you take damage a lot, whileImproved Dodgemakes dodging attacks easier by increasing the number of dodges you can perform in a row.
Fit inATK secondary Traitsif you need toreach the damage cap. If you’re at the damage cap already, you’re able to safelyswap these outfor something more beneficial.
Linked Togetheris great for getting intoLink Timefaster, and you only need two level 15 Traits to reach the cap for this stat, making it a very efficient damage boost.Quick Cooldownsimilarly can boost your damage and smooth out your skill rotation, making it easier to keep up your DEF Down debuff from Verdrangen.
